ME2 seems to be going just as cinematic which is good.

I have to say Okami, if only for the bit when Amaterasu is about to do her victory howl with Issun but realises he isn't there as she had to leave him behind outside the ship. That bit made me cry inside :cry:

Definite parallels with Rocky, but... No random last minute revalations at the end, and no last minute fourth wall breaking after the credits.

In retrospect, Monkey Island 2 is pretty good, but it's not a fun ending when you've spent your time shuffling 11 floppy disks only to get... that... with no promise of any kind of actual resolution anytime soon

This, man I forgot this for a moment. When he peers thorugh the window..again as a little boy and everything fades in colour doesnt it.

I was only about 15 I think but I cried like a little girl.

Anyway, to post something a bit different, Final Fantasy V:

The game has a pretty barebones story, yet somehow the ending manages to have a pretty impressive scope for its time and be quite touching. It's rare to see Bartz being likeable for once anyway!

Nope, but it was similar, he walks to the castle and sees the princess and she turns around and all the colours turn to a sepia tone and its says The end.
