Best games that never received a sequel?

Anything to do with games at all.

Perhaps a left field choice but I really liked the concept of Hybrid Heaven and although it was flawed as a game, it deserved a sequel to really flesh out the story.

Freedom Fighters - I can't see a sequel ever happening so I'd settle for a proper re-release of it. I think IO own the property now so hopefully it happens at some point.

Alpha Protocol - Loved this game despite how janky it was. With Microsoft publishing, they could go all out with a sequel.

Lost Odyssey - I'm assuming this never developed into a franchise due to a lacking JRPG audience on Xbox but it was the best Final Fantasy game of its console generation.

Vanquish
Binary Domain
Two of my favourite third-person shooters from the last generation.

John Woo's Stranglehold - I can't say this game is amazing or anything but it was dumb fun and shootouts would look great with new hardware if they really went wild with environment destruction etc.

Gregory Horror Show
Ghost Trick
Panzer Dragoon Saga
Heavenly Sword
Rock n Roll Racing - Edit: It did have a sequel on PS1.

Vagrant Story is a genuine masterpiece, but the fact that it hasn't had a sequel only adds to its mystique. A gorgeous, impossible work of art that stands on its own as a complete piece.

What sequels? Genuine question, I don't know what you mean!

I understand the confusion, the whole trilogy got released on the same disc ;)

Just remembered this one and was going to post it. Agree that it never having a sequel just enhances it's legacy as a classic really. A genuinely stunning piece of work

That was Namco Bandai. It ran out a few years back I think.

This was such a corny but amazing game, I loved the special move the main character did with the Doves flying everywhere.

I'd add my +1 to some of the mentioned stuff like binary domain, Gregory horror show, bullet storm and Jade empire.

I'd also like a sequel to alpha protocol

I'm probably the only person in the world who'd want this but I'd jump on a Folklore sequel as a PS5 launch game.
