Nah, all joking aside there's easily ten or fifteen films that can go before Speed. It's probably one of the three or four best examples of a pure action film. The absolute peak of the genre.

The first wave of films that should never have been on the list is now more or less completed - it's time to get through the next wave of films that are great, but not top tier. And the Life of Brian, which I hate.

I actually like most of those too, but they are all bottom tier films out of those that remain (and some actually not all that good (48, 93, 98)).

Revenant is worse than every one of those films except Life of Brian IMO. Found it incredibly dull. Also Spirited Away is probably in my all time top ten.

Life of Brian is strawberry floating amazing. What the actual strawberry float is wrong with you guys?
