As I said, my favourite film, probably wouldn't be in peoples top 500, but I'm not complaining, and neither should any of you. This is meant to be a bit of fun, stop taking it so seriously people choosing certain films are not an attack against you personally.

No you see you don't understand. They are perfect creations and it simply isn't possible that they don't appeal to all people.

Personally I don't think they're perfect. Never have. I just don't like dismissive criticism of them.
I could list the flaws of all three films. It'd be a long post.
But they do deserve a place in the top twenty.

I generally see them as one film. Taken as that - they should be a nailed on certainty for top ten or twenty.


I also don't think everyone should love them but if you're going to criticise - at least make an effort.

This is an example. You've qualified your opinion. Fair enough. Can't argue with that because they aren't for everyone.

How much critique has been offered for all the films that have gone out so far? This isn't a thread where we post reviews and discussion on why we think a film does not deserve a higher spot. It's simply a case of people suggesting the films they thing should go next, if that happens to result in LoTR going earlier than you personally would have liked then that just shows that it wasn't as loved by this group of people as you think it should be.

They might be wrong or they might be right but the "game" doesn't require any justification for it!

I don't like LOTR either and have never liked them. Other people like them far enough, just because others don't like them does not mean personal insults should be thrown at each other.

I think the only (movie based ) insults have been aimed at Jenuall who has been trolling. He’s stated he likes the movies and then in other posts wanted then gone. Even then I don’t think there has been any serious insults aimed at him.

I love LoTR, adore it. But I accept it’s not for everyone, wanting to vote it out is fine whether that’s tactical or because you don’t like it.

I do like the movies and voting for them in the 80s or 90s clearly is troll like behaviour, but for me personally we probably are reaching the sort of numbers where I'd be happy to see them go.

They certainly don't all deserve to make it to the top 10 in my book. Mid twenties perhaps.
