Welcome to the 2015 GRcade awards!

As promised, we're going to bring back the end-of-year celebration of the best of our unique community, in a simplified format.

The awards are simple. There will be seven categories, with all members eligible to vote (except for themselves!) and there will be no prior nominations - everyone and everything can be voted for. That's every member, every post, every event, every quote from the last 12 months.

I'd encourage everyone to share their worthy winners in this thread, as it will help others remember deserving recipients and will probably increase the chances of your chosen worthy winner emerging victorious. As well as serving this purpose, it'll also be fun to discuss great GRcade moments of 2015!

LOGO OF THE YEAR



Ever since the first custom logo, GRcade has rivalled Google at the art of custom logos for particular events, and this year has without doubt been the greatest yet. We've seen a simply phenomenal level of logo design, with animated logos and multiple images switching on refresh all newly introduced. Your task, fellow forumites, is simply to decide which of these fantastic logos is the very best of the last twelve months.

To vote, simply PM me, with the subject of your PM being "Logo of the Year". Voting closes next Thursday, when this thread will be locked and we'll move onto the next category!

It doesn't count if you don't PM it me!

And yeah you're right, a few of the animated ones weren't animated and the multiple ones were all showing the same image. Not sure why.

It is working for me. Mocky made it so it only played once though. If you want to see the animation on loop, you'll have to right click -> view image and then refresh when it stops.

As much as I love having my own logo (Thanks Jawa) I'm going to vote for the Satoru Iwata tribute/memorial one as a mark of respect.

I think we can all agree though - it's been an amazing year for logos

I loved that logo as well. Sombre and beautiful at the same time.

Mario Maker is the only worthy winner.
