Welcome to the 2015 GRcade awards!

As promised, we're going to bring back the end-of-year celebration of the best of our unique community, in a simplified format.

The awards are simple. There will be seven categories, with all members eligible to vote (except for themselves!) and there will be no prior nominations - everyone and everything can be voted for. That's every member, every post, every event, every quote from the last 12 months.

I'd encourage everyone to share their worthy winners in this thread, as it will help others remember deserving recipients and will probably increase the chances of your chosen worthy winner emerging victorious. As well as serving this purpose, it'll also be fun to discuss great GRcade moments of 2015!

As decided by20 ofyou, the first category to vote for in this year's awards is:

QUOTE OF THE YEAR

To vote, simply PM me, with the subject of your PM being "Quote of the Year". Voting closes next Friday, when this thread will be locked and we'll move onto the next category!

Full list of coming categories:
Most Memorable Event

Most Entertaining Forumite

Most Helpful Forumite

Logo of the Year

Thread of the Year

GRcade's Forumite of the Year

So get discussing the best comments and quotes of this past year, remember to PM me to vote, and if you'd like to contribute to the big festive reveal thread - be it artwork for the categories, a review of the year, witty / pithy comments to accompany the categories, or any other creative stuff you'd like to share - then please get in touch!

Some more suggestions:

Falsey wrote:GRcade; never will you find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy (and massive teen tits)

TigaSefi wrote:Look at #labourpurge and tell me that not similar actions to what Stalin/Trotsky did back in the day? It's the very definition of obliterating your own supporter core base in order to get the vote that is wanted/needed :| They claim to be the fair party of the UK. Yeah fair on their terms or you're out! comical.

It's so small that sometimes it's hard to get a good grip of.

My Girlfriend laughs at it because it's so small. She prefers larger ones. Her ex had a large one and She said she prefers it to my small one. She also laughs because mine is white when she prefers black.

I knocked it once on a door and now it bends to the left slightly and doesn't always work that well.

It's probably about 4".

IS THAT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU KKLEIN!!

I'm bumping this - mainly because so far we have had NO VOTES! Perhaps this wasn't the greatest category to start with.

The good news is, this makes your vote all the more powerful! By voting, you might be having the final say in who walks away with this year's award.

Get involved!

You would be better off making a short list and then getting people to vote on that. Most of us are too lazy to bother searching out quotes, but I think you would get a decent number of people voting if they only had to pick an option.

Yeah, was thinking the same. I can barely remember what someone said on here last week, let alone the entire year.

That's pretty much what I have done! I've posted plenty of suggestions in the thread already, but people are free to vote for a particular favourite I've missed if they would like to. If sometime has a quote in mind, great. If not and they want to search, great. If not and they want to vote for one already mentioned in the thread, great!

Gloves are off for you as well, chief. I'm not ignoring your bullshit towards me any longer and will respond in kind. Had enough of this crap from the same few losers.
