So, I want to play my old GameCube games, problem is they look gash on HDTV. What's my best option? GC component cables are too expensive so any recommendations on a TV? 32 inch

They do, but the official GC ones are £100+ on eBay. :dread:

Not sure if third-party ones are available.

It'd be cheaper to buy a preowned Wii (original model) with component cables. You can use that to play GameCube games.

Have you checked a 720p Plasma? My Panasonic resolution is something like 1074 x 786 and I don't know if it is the lower resolution that does it, but SD sources look really good. Not tried anything through scart though.

Yep, the GameCube is almost unplayable on my TV but the games look good on a Wii.

You can actually get hardware downscalers to make older consoles display properly on modern TVs, they're not cheap though, about £80+ iirc.

A cheap second-hand CRT TV might be a better option if you have the space for it.
