It's essentially a disney musical fantasy tv show, you'd think that'd be a winning formula. Are we sure your intense dislike (I mean, "genuinely offensive"?
) isn't in part exacerbated by the fact someone forced you to watch it?

Nah, she bullied me into Cougar Town and I quite enjoyed that, and also BSG which I thought I wouldn’t like but has actually turned out to be really good. I’ll give you a rundown of why it’s awful:
1. Main actor is rubbish.
2. Songs aren’t very good. Which is completely unforgivable.
3. It’s very dull, to the point where I actually fell asleep during one of the later episodes.
The biggest reason I don’t like it is that the concept is absolutely brilliant - I love the idea of a fun, musical fantasy comedy show that turns a lot of the current dark, gritty stuff on its head. But it’s so half-arsedly done that it feels like the show has probably set that aspect of the genre back a few years.
