I can hope that Mass Effect 3 will be released next year.

Plus I'm rather excited about that Raiden Metal Gear game. And then there's Gears of War 3.

Overall it looks infinitely better.

I've considered the question and I think I'll say personally 2009 is the best year for this generation so far. Three spectacular games sealed the deal.

1. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
2. Batman: Arkham Asylum
3. inFAMOUS

Yeah 2009 was excellent for a few titles. Add in Assassin's Creed II and Shatter to that list.

While I'm not on the same wavelength I'd consider these games to lead this generation in 2011:
- Dead Space 2
- Batman: Gotham City
- inFAMOUS 2

I would have added the rest of the games I am interested in but I felt 3DS was enough ;)

Its a highscore game. Just because its possible to do something doesn't mean thats what the game is.

Bioshock is down for a 2012 release date and I'm pretty sure ME3 won't make 2011 either.

2003 says hello.

Best so far? Probably. Ever? Ask me when 2011 is over and Killzone 3, Gears 3, Skyward Sword and the 3DS are all out.

Or you know theres...

LBP2, Child of Eden, Portal 2, Brink, Last Guardian, Crysis 2, Space Marine, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Batman Arkham City, 3DS, Dragon Age 2, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Gears of War 3...and a whole load more.

I mean Portal 2, Child of Eden, Last Guardian, Batman Arkham City, Deus Ex 3 and Space Marine looks like a pretty good year to me...still not sure if it'll beat this year even with added 3DS.

I think Last Guardian and Deus Ex 3 will be certs, little else that appeals there.

2007. This gen is starting to go a bit stale for me. Apart from a few games, this year has been a let down and if Move and Kinect fail to deliver then I'm going to save my money for the next gen, whenever that might be but I'm ready now.

I reckon apart from a new Nintendo you'll be waiting 3 or 4 years for that.

I actually thought this year was going to walk it for me because in the first few months great stuff kept coming out and my GOTY got beaten about 4 times in succession, Bayonetta<Heavy Rain<Joe Danger<Red Dead Redemption<Mario Galaxy 2. I also bloody enjoyed Other M.

Unfortunately since Other M there's been strawberry float all and I've been starved of something to keep me going for a a longer period.

Very much looking forward to RB3 though and GT5, plus I'm sure a couple of other nuggets.

If I take into consideration that I've missed some 360 treats like Reach, then I would probably say that this is the best year of the generation so far. Shame Zelda was never going to make it.

A tough call but it's 2009 for me. Uncharted 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, Plants Vs Zombies and Flower just blew me away. Anyway 2010 has been a bit disappointing for me so i'm hoping 2011 brings it on.
