It would appear that the - seemingly few - players who have gained access to the "secret room" have done so by actions that would not be a part of normal gameplay; and they will be banned for undertaking such actions. To me, this feels to be a reasonable approach by Bethesda - especially as gamers often indicate that people cheating in online games should face action.

Gemini73 wrote:Hugo, your stance regarding this absolute cluster strawberry float of a game is clear and has been from the beginning. Bethesda's top brass could come around your house, shoot then eat the family dog and you'd still come running to their defense...

Perhaps. But, in making this suggestion, it feels reasonable to suggest that your stance has been just as clear, Gem. Anything the game or Bethesda do will be swiftly met by your eagerness to take a dump upon them.

Tafdolphin wrote:I think Hugo has played too much of it, so his opinion isn't particularly valid.

Hang on... if you've played the game a lot, your opinion becomes invalid? Or... the opinion of someone who hasn't played the game is more worthy than that of someone who hasn't played it?

Met wrote:...is there any aspect of this game that doesn't not work?

Yes. It's just that the things that don't work are gaining a lot of attention. I can see that folk who haven't played the game may think that nothing works because such news items are pretty popular at the mo'.

Congrats, dude! I think I'm way back; a mere ten hours at a guess.

Which would be fine if they just banned them.

Hi,

You have been found cheating get the strawberry float out

Bethesda

But they didn’t they have a bollocks story about “corruption” and said that if they say how they did it they can come back in.

That’s not you cheated, that’s you did a thing we don’t know how and can’t be strawberry floated to find in the code so do our job for us and we will you you back in.

Because Bethesda keep adding fuel to the dumpster fire and it's pretty funny to see how far it can go.

I guess you could take that view. But, only a short time back, folk were moaning 'cos Bethesda supposedly weren't taking action against cheaters. It seems, in my view, that Bethesda are giving people the opportunity to say how they accessed the "test room".... it is, of course, likely that it was done by cheating but it feels like folk are being offered the chance to say how they did it through normal gameplay.

In the end, some folk are cheating and so they will be banned.

This is the thread now in a nutshell. It's not even really about the game any more.

You had a thread about the game and you binned in a tantrum. Don’t complain that people want to discuss the gooseberry fool show Bethesda are making of all this.

If you want a “game play only” thread do as was said last time and make one for that purpose.

You dump in this thread and get annoyed by people that don't. Don't complain about people that want to talk about the game and the gooseberry-fool show the Forum is making of all this.

Yes, I can respond in the tone that you choose to post in.

EDIT:

If you want a "state of AAA game publishing" thread than do so as I've said before and make one for that purpose.

I’m not complaing dude. Talk about the game all you like I haven’t stopped you I haven’t said OMG we only want to talk about bethesda screwups!

The person complaining about what people post is you.

If you don’t want to see people posting what was wrong don’t come in the thread, if you want to control what people talk about make your own thread.

If you want to be grown up and accept that some people think Bethesda are being crap and want to talk about it then continue posting, it’s great you are enjoying the game and power to you, however you can’t deny Bethesda have gooseberry fool the bed and it is only right people want to discuss that.

Never liked their games, so couldn't give a crap about their reputation being destroyed.

Errkal wrote:...If you don’t want to see people posting what was wrong don’t come in the thread, if you want to control what people talk about make your own thread...

I feel that the people posting are often not actually interested in the game; it's just a thread to muck about in. Which is absolutely fine, of course. But don't expect folk who have a different opinion to stop posting about that, either.

Errkal wrote:...however you can’t deny Bethesda have gooseberry fool the bed and it is only right people want to discuss that.

This misconception keeps on cropping up and I'm not going to keep responding to this point. I have stated my take on the issues where I feel the game is at fault and / or Bethesada is at fault. I'm not - and haven't - tried to portray either as paragons of AAA gaming.

But, equally, I will respond when some folk see a headline and re-post it here... if I feel that there are other sides to the story.

NickSCFC wrote:Never liked their games, so couldn't give a crap about their reputation being destroyed.

It's amazing how Errkal repeatedly challenges my posts in this thread when stuff like this is passed without mention. It's not even about the game; just a ranting post from someone not interested in the topic. I'm not saying it's "invalid"; I just wonder why bother posting?

I’ll agree nickSCFC’S post isn’t helpful, I was ignoring it as a nothing post.
