Fallout 76 players are nabbing unreleased items from a secret "developer room"

This developer room contains plans for every item in the game, including top-tier weapons and unreleased goodies which are supposed to arrive in upcoming updates. Oh, and there's an NPC in there sat all by itself. That's got to be the holy grail for game glitchers.

Reports of this room's existence began to surface on Reddit about four days ago, but some of my sources have told me it has been known about on Discord servers for several weeks. A video showing the room was posted on YouTube - although the original by "Mr. X" has since been removed. You can take a peep at a reupload here

Yet if you're hoping to explore the room for yourself, you may want to think twice before attempting the procedure. Several sources told me Bethesda is now issuing automatic account suspensions for those who enter the room. Players are reportedly being informed of the bans via email, and take anywhere from six to 24 hours to be issued.

So rather than just fix the problem they'd rather just ban anybody who goes in.

Also,

They have no idea how people are doing it, so are demanding you tell then if you want to be unbanned.

Yeah, because no company bans accounts of people that cheat at their game. Terrible practice.

Hugo, your stance regarding this absolute cluster strawberry float of a game is clear and has been from the beginning. Bethesda's top brass could come around your house, shoot then eat the family dog and you'd still come running to their defense.

It's not that they're suspending accounts, it's the manner in which they do it and everything to do with this turd of a game. One word. Pathetic.

It's a really fun game to play with people, seeing as you clearly aren't playing the game your opinion on it isn't particularly valid.

You'd have thought they'd have run out of foot to shoot at this point but no. No they haven't.

Other companies don't usually offer to unban you when you tell them how you cheated.

Ah we're back to that old chestnut are we? Funny you say that being as your are the chap who once said, many moons ago, that you didn't need to play Max Payne to have a valid opinion on the game and why you thought it wasn't very good. In fact, you then went on to tell everyone how you were "obviously a better judge of games than them". (classic Hugo, by the way  ).

But yes, Fallout 76 is clearly a brilliant game and all the reports, write ups, videos and so forth painting it as one of the biggest AAA turds of this generation are nothing but lies and if I were to play it I would see that they are indeed just making it all up.

I think Hugo has played too much of it, so his opinion isn't particularly valid.

I reckon Taf and Gemini73 should get a key each for it on CDkeys (I think it's about 9.50) and play together, for 100 hours and do a write-up.

There is nothing controversial about banning accounts of cheaters, come on now

Being able to lift the suspension by explaining how it happened is to cover someone doing it accidentally through some bug, so it's only people deliberately cheating who remain banned.

It's like the "controversy" over the physical pc edition being a download key all over again

I'm not saying you can't comment on things in this topic, just that maybe you should stick to stuff you can accurately comment on.

Saying this looks bad, or you don't like that feature? Fair enough. Saying from your no hours of experience with the game that it is a 'cluster strawberry float of a game' not so much.

There's a line between commenting on stuff you've seen and things you know about through reading about the game and watching videos and what you are posting.

Say the game looks like a mess, say you don't like the practices that Bethesda are putting in place. Hell say you don't understand why people are playing the game.

But don't respond to someone who likes the game by telling them their opinion is invalid when you've not even played the game yourself.

It's absolutely bad practice. If you feel someone is cheating you ban them and unless they can show they weren't cheating you don't unban them. You don't offer to unban them if they can tell you how they cheated because either your own devs can't figure it out or you don't want to pay your devs to spend time figuring it out.
All this shows is that Bethesda don't actually give a toss that people were cheating.

Again, I remind you of Max Payne. A game you admitted you hadn't played but were insistent that your opinion of the game was as valid as anyone who had played it. Granted it was quite some time ago, but perhaps you should practice what you preach?

But this thread has grown tedious as it is just going around in circles and so I'll remove myself from commenting in future. I'll simply finish with saying that Fallout 76 is an unquestionable disaster, even by Bethesda's relatively poor standards when it comes to quality control, and it's right that it has become one of the shinning examples of everything that is currently wrong with the AAA side of the industry. Worse still, Bethesda's entire attitude to the situation, to their fans, is very worrying when looking to their future projects. I certainly worry for TES6 and will be doubly cautious in regards to the game as a result of the sorry affair that is Fallout 76.

I don't need to drink poison to know it's probably not the best of times.

But yeah, is there any aspect of this game that doesn't not work?

No where in the above does it say this. You'll almost certainly only get unbanned if you weren't deliberately cheating.

5 paragraph clearly says that.

Tell us exactly how you got into the room then we can fix the corruption and put you back.

It is blatant bullshit made to sound a bit techie in the hope no one will question it.
