Wow, Orange - that looks amazing... what a great build! :o . You've got tons of cool furniture items in it and I love how you've created the different buildings and pathways.

I'd like to visit sometime, if I may? :-) .

I've updated my camp this evening, too, and I'm pleased with how it's coming along. All my lights are now working :toot: .

"Friends Welcome"!

Oh, and there has been an Atomic Shop update... with these appearing amongst other some other stuff!

I collected the first one - they're free over the next week, but you gotta log in and claim the new one each day. I couldn't find it in the CAMP build to place it in my camp, though :shifty: .

Cheers Jawa. I'm glad the eggs look a bit pointless because I'm not going to have access to my PS4 over the next 6 days, so I couldn't collect them all even if I wanted to.

Timed stuff is the worst :(

Smart work with that support pillar and fence behind it in your camp anyway, looks pretty neat!

Also posting on page 76 8-)

Dang, that's a shame, man. I just got home and logged in to grab the second egg... but it's not there yet :? . I guess it'll become available from midnight so I'm setting my alarm a bit earlier to try and grab it before I go out in the morning :fp: .

Thanks! I am using four posts to support my veranda and security area :-) .

I collected the eggs released so far... gonna try and pick up the remainder during these next few days :-) .

If any folk haven't seen them listed in the building mode, they're stored next to the Deathclaw statue in the menu.

I got to the Mire for the first time, it's a cool place and again very distinct from the other regions. I also came up against a hermit crab which I knew nothing about - that was something!

Love being hundreds of hours in and still discovering new areas and enemies

Sounds neat, Orange! I tried jumping into your game last night - I saw you on the map and fast-travelled to you. I *think* you were in a cabin (Overseer's area #4)? I got there as you logged off, but all was cool as I could nab the Overseer's stash stuff :-) .

I got all six of the Easter eggs. You can craft a comic rabbit head to wear for getting 'em all. Tbh I just like displaying the eggs in my camp!

Oh, and I had a Scorched attacking my camp door :o . I was inside and heard all the noise... opened the door and had to tackle it! I haven't had Scorched attacking my camp before; albeit my generator was smashed up whilst I was out exploring last week and I had to repair it.

Maintenance is taking place from 15:00 today, with patch notes due whilst it's in progress.

Ah I didn't see you, sorry! I was inside the bunker moving the main quest along and then went off for the night, so wouldn't have noticed

I'm glad the reward for all the eggs isn't a camp item at least

The latest update is available for download. It's marked up as being 1.1.3.9 (PS4) on the Fallout 76 update article, but it's downloading version 1.4 (1.93 Gb) on my PS4.

Edit: Pleased about the aluminium stuff; I seem to have trouble finding much of it!

Camera sounds excellent, can't wait to get one and try it out. I hope they save to a separate album than photomode because that one is really small!

Repair Kits still sound dodgy as hell and I will ignore them entirely. Pls do likewise jawa!

Also glad they've fixed a couple of bugs that have hit me a few times.

It looks like we'll be able to claim a free "No Trespassing" signpost when the game is back up after the maintenance.

Nice one, Gem - it'll be interesting to hear how you get on with it.

Meanwhile, details of the next update have been announced. The “Ever Upwards!” Wild Appalachia update is currently slated to arrive with Patch 9 on May 7.

Bethesda wrote:...you will need to prove you’ve embraced the Pioneering lifestyle by completing activities that demonstrate their core values: kindness, helpfulness, bravery, and growth. You can also earn badges that show your mastery over traditional activities, like swimming, archery, cooking, athletics, and more. In addition to measuring individual growth, badges will come in handy at Pioneer Scout vending machines. Trade your badges in for themed loot that you can use to enhance your C.A.M.P. and show off your Pioneering spirit.

Once you’ve been promoted to the rank of the mighty Possum, you will be able to pursue tougher badges and will be rewarded with your first backpack...

Bethesda wrote:...Backpacks are new functional items being introduced with Ever Upwards that you can equip to increase your carry weight, so that you have room for more supplies when you head into the great outdoors. They are also customizable and can be modded to fit your fashion sense and personal tastes.

The backpack sounds neat. Looking forward to checking it out!

I'm guessing you won't be playing for a while Gem as you've got Days Gone too! There are actually some comparisons to be made, most notably I think in survival mechanics being window dressing, although they are more involved still in Days Gone.

I haven't played over the weekend because I've also been playing Days Gone, but I'll definitely be switching between the two. The backpack sounds quite game-changing, and I wonder what its drawbacks will be (if any). I also wonder how it'll work on a purely visual level, like if you can choose to display or hide it with your outfit.

Pioneer scouts activities sound interesting for sure, especially if they lead to more camp items!

I usually have a few games on the go at a time, but Days Gone has taken up all of my gaming over the weekend and I know I'll be playing it most of the week. Wife and kids are away this coming weekend (I'm working) so I might fire up 76 then just to get the ball rolling.

I believe that the backpacks are customisable (both in terms of mods and visually, Orange, and that they are visible with all outfits bar power armour. They sound pretty neat!

I think the update due in early May will also allow items that you've discovered to be placed in your camp, rather than just crunched for crafting purposes. I will put some of those teddy bears on display 8-) .

Player vending machines will arrive in the patch scheduled for Tuesday and they sound pretty neat.

Once you build a Vending Machine, you can assign items to it directly from your Stash and choose the Cap prices you’d like buyers to pay for them. Items you place in your Vending Machine will remain in your Stash, but they will also display a new vending icon next to their names so that it’s easy to identify what you’ve marked for sale at a glance. You will receive a notification whenever a buyer snatches up one of your wares. Caps from your sale, minus a nominal fee of 10% to maintain a healthy in-game economy, will be added to your Cap balance.

Of course, to run a successful business, you’ll need to advertise! When you build and power a Vending Machine, your C.A.M.P. location will appear to all players on the map as long as you aren’t currently Wanted. When others hover over your C.A.M.P. on the map, they’ll see your name and player icon, as well as the number and types of items you have marked for sale. If you’ve got lots of goods or rare items, and set fair prices, your shop will likely have a few new visitors.

The patch will also bring some extra tweaks. Display Cases (to show off some of the items you’ve collected, such as weapons, bobbleheads, and magazines, in your C.A.M.P.) have been delayed from ths update but will arrive in "a few weeks".

Tuesday evening is hopefully when I'll be back with my ps4 :toot:

I am very excited for player vending, not least because it should increase people visiting my camp and I like showing off :p

Decoration keeps getting delayed, it's goimg to be a buggy mess isn't it?

It'll be good to see you back in the wasteland, Orange! I haven't played for about two weeks, either, but I plan on doing so this weekend. Maybe we'll see Pattybean, too!

It does sound cool. Tbh, I barely have any caps at the moment but I'm still looking forward to checking out peoples' vending machines :-) .

I wonder if there will be pretty strict limits upon the number of items that can be displayed? In Elder Scrolls Online the number of house items is fairly limited in comparison to the size of the houses. We'll see!
