Nice!

I haven't played this in a couple of weeks. Being stuck against needing to play in multi-player or grinding out preparation for launching a nuke has kind of sapped my enthusiasm, along with them adding a load of cool stuff to the Atomic Shop that I can no longer afford. Doesn't help that I've explored the whole map now also.

Still, want to go back, it's just finding the time!

Okay, I've just returned to the game.

And the Y axis control seems "wrong"; I press up to look down, and down to look up. This doesn't feel right... am I imagining this, or has it changed? I can't see an option in the (PS4 version) menu to change it, either.

EDIT: Ah! There is an option! It's in the GAME menu rather than CONTROLS :? . It's quite odd as I'm sure I never played that way before. Very happy it's back to normal now, though :-) .

But an Inverted 'Y' is normal on analog sticks for FPS.

People who don't invert Y-Axis :dread:

Saw the new posts and thought it was about the recalls on the special edition helmets.

I returned to 76 tonight and spent five straight hours building my camp  .

And I'm outta camp budget 'cos I've made it too big :fp: . Gotta reduce it a bit... which probably won't hurt 'cos the rooms were a bit empty, anyway. I like how it's coming along, though :-) .

EDIT: I was so engrossed that I forgot about the football, the PlayStation show, the Xbox show, and I haven't even had anything to drink in that time :fp: .

I suspect I went a bit overboard with the new wood panelling. Gonna re-visit it tonight.

Thinking about my playtime on the game, I reckon a good 80% has been spent on arranging stuff in my camp. I'm still only level 14 and unsure about how to use guns, whilst OrangeRKN has visited everywhere and completed everything  .

Are you gonna be back in 76 at some point, dude? With all the new camp gear available, it'd be interesting to see what you create! Perhaps the upcoming Wastelanders update could draw you back in?

I'm sort of deliberately avoiding it, because I've been playing lots of other things and I can easily lose so much time to F76. I had also hit a little bit of a wall though in the final quest being a big grind and the scout quests being locked behind multiplayer objectives, which was frustrating me. It also didn't help that I finally hit the point of there being CAMP items I want in the shop that I can't afford with money earned in game, and I refuse to spend real money when they are so ludicrously overpriced in real terms. It's also a bit disappointing knowing that because I haven't played in a few months, I'll have missed some stuff!

Mostly though I think it's a combination of me finally seeing the whole map (and primarily this is an exploration game), and having built a camp I'm so fond of that I'm really reticent to scrap it to build something new

I do want to jump back in for Wastelanders... but then The Outer Worlds is out next month, and that's going to scratch that particular itch way better I imagine!

Would love to see your camp though jawa :toot:

Orange, you won't like this, but I succumbed and purchased some Atoms for the sale that was on earlier this week :shifty: . I was looking at stuff and I could not resist. Got some great items, though... the wood panelling and a Collector Robot (junk and scrap) :-) . The display cabinets are free to build!

OrangeRKN wrote:...and having built a camp I'm so fond of that I'm really reticent to scrap it to build something new  ...

I know that feeling; my camp is not situated near anything particularly cool but I just like it there now and I'm spending a lot of time updating it.

Hope to see you back at some point, Orange. Once my camp is "complete" (for now) I'll post some pics / video here!

So agitated by the non-inverted-Y gang last night. I made this:

If you push the stick up, what way is the man going to look?

(Yes, I know I don't invert the left/right - deal with it  )

... . I was seriously unable to play properly until I got it back to "normal". My brain couldn't cope with the inverted style. Once I was moving the stick down to look down, I was comfortable again :-) .
