You know what they say Jawa, first sign of madness and all that :slol:

Think I'm actually going to have Fallout 76 for a whole year having not played it once.

Haha, I'm just happy playing the game, Manwell - hopefully my updates could make another GRcadian think about giving the game a go :-).

I've put over eighty hours into F76 now (the PS4 doesn't display the time but I gained the "76 hours" achievement the other day) and I'd recommend it for folk who like exploring and building. The fighting is clunky and it's not always clear how stuff works (OrangeRKN knows way more than I do about the game!) but it has been one of my fave titles during this year.

The upcoming Wastelanders update has been delayed from "fall" until "Q1". A bit of a shame but it seems to be shaping up pretty well; I suspect that the introduction of another main mission path and a range of NPCs and dialogues will mean substantial changes for the game.

Some screens have been released:

Additionally, the ability to use private servers is arriving soon. Details are TBC but it seems that you'll be able to pay to play on your own dedicated server ("Private World") and invite players of your own choosing.

I presume you’ll have to pay for any private servers... which can be pricey.

Why should they cost? They don't need to be persistent for individuals, it's just putting you in one alone rather than with a max of 19 other people for your play session.

It might be that Wastelanders adds some more persistence and opportunity for multiple players messing things up, which might make private worlds more desired.

I stumbled across a power suit! .

It was just standing there... I went over to it and had to remove some (Raider) bits before I could get into it. I was genuinely shocked and immediately fast-travelled back to my camp because I didn't want to lose it!

Now, it's just the power frame rather than an entire suit - I *think* you have to reach level 25 before you can don the entire suit, and I'm at level 18. I don't yet know how to build it up into a full suit. Even so, the frame on its own seems to boosts running and jumping capabilities. I need to work out how to charge (power) it and how to maintain / fix it. It's pretty exciting!

Also... for the first time, I've hit the max items count (800) on my stash. I think I've got lots of gear that I'm just not gonna need so I have to go through and get rid of stuff; converting it to materials where possible.

Okay... this evening I discovered that you can sell stuff to the robot vendors for caps at the train stations. I've been playing the game for well over 80 hours and I hadn't realised this   . I've just been collecting stuff and piling it up in stash... and wondering how on earth I get caps :fp:  .

So, I spent an hour traveling backwards and forwards between my camp and a station - and gaining caps :toot: - before further realising that a stash box is located in the station so I don't have to keep doing that traveling   .

It has taken me time to learn this but I've got there in the end :toot: .

Well nobody can accuse them of being predictable when it comes to this game.

£12 a month.
£100 a year.
To play alone.

FFXIV, a fully fledged MMO, is £7.69, for context. Even at 12 months, it's still cheaper than a Single Player mode for a game that's been sub-free for a year.

What the strawberry float, Bethesda?

But it's clearly just being announced because Outer Worlds is coming out, which has been pitched as a true Fallout sequel.
