How does photo mode in an online game work? It won't pause gameplay?

Base building + photo mode sounds good though

Indeed, it doesn't pause... I watched a vid in which two players were standing in front of a building for a photo and they were attacked by a ghoul whilst setting up  .

I went to the Bethesda Games Studios concert on Saturday - it was great! Heard a lot of the big themes from Fallout and The Elder Scrolls. Also the live premiere of the theme from TES Blades, the Fallout 76 main theme (I had my pic taken with the larger than life composer) and the Fallout 76 suite.

Bit of a shame as action shots can be great in photo modes

I think your original is from F76, brer's just using a shot from a 10 year old game to compare.

Now I want to play Crysis again.

I have to admit I did bite my tongue when Jawa posted that screenshot - It looks terrible!
I'm more than happy for The Elder Scrolls and Fallout to use a new engine at this point.

I get that the game may not appeal to all tastes... but it feels a bit odd to make a screenshot from a portable console that bears comparison to the legendary Crisis into a "bad" thing  .

It's hard to tell at this stage, Photek, but based upon most views shared so far I expect the general reception to be "mediocre"; I would not be surprised to see lots of [5]s. If anyone is jumping on board right from the off then I think they'll be doing it for the potential rather than as things stand now. As an online game, development and changes are going to be on-going.

At this time I'm still slightly in the "yeah, I'll jump in at the start" sector; mainly because I like gameplay which involves wandering about and exploring.

Bethesda have debunked claims that Fallout 76 is easy to hack.

We shall see of course, but if the game ends up a haven for hackers then it won't be much fun to visit.

True, Gemini, although I guess that thought could be applied to any online game.

It all depends how rife it becomes and how well Bethesda tackle it. PUBG on PC, for example, isn't worth playing these days due to the amount of cheating.

Is there anywhere with info on the base building? I want to know what the limitations on building are (How big can I build? Can I create a whole settlement?) and can I have multiple bases or am I limited to just the one?

This YouTuber has taken a good look at the building process in the BETA, Orange. It gives a good flavour of how things are made and fit together.

Hard to find any info, but I think you can only build one camp, but you have 10 save slots for camp layouts, so in effect you can create 10 different camps (you just only have 1 active at a time).

The build limit and camp area is a bit on the small side unfortunately
