I *have* taken a positive tone... well as much as predicting a [5] is positive. I did it because you took such a negative one. Well, here we are. What a great situation.

I like being able to customise my own base just how I want it (although I simply could not be arsed doing the same for all the settlements - seriously why couldn't there be an option to have the settlers build stuff for themsleves?) and the weapons were fun to muck around with and customise. In most other ways it was a backwards step though, in terms of overall game design and narrative.

The best part of Fallout 4 was actually the Far Harbour DLC, which actually gave you mulitple ways of solving quests and made you pause for thought on occasion rather than brainlessly following the next quest marker.

I liked the flexibility in far harbour. That fact I could murder all of the boring and unlikeale inhabitants was probably the highlight and of one of the most forgettable pieces of dlc I’ve ever played.

I will 100% take Caesar. And yes, be quiet from now on. Until the review scores hit, of course.

To be honest, I don't think you could accuse Tag of joy taking an interest in the game. He's clearly had an interest in it since it was announced. See can be said of Jawa. The key similarity seems to be that neither of them have actually played it.

So who's is to say which opinion is more valid? Tag went on his gut feeling that the Fallout template, Bethesda and the MMO genre would be an ill-fit. At the moment, the reactions to the Beta would seem to hear that awkwardness out.

Jawa is more optimistic and thinks the game's initial growing pains will give way to something enjoyable, and that he has enjoyed the developer's previous output.

I don't see why both opinions can't exist at the same time, and why one has to rally against the other. Decrying negative reaction from some quarters to a game that has had.. a negative reaction from some quarters seems a bit of a heavy handed reaction and simply trying to keep smiling whilst your house burns down. But likewise, it's fine if Jawa has hope that eventually the game might Bea worthwhile experience for him. You can always get a new house!

I have no problem with jawa being hyped for the game. I do have a problem with his calling my negativity 'shitposting.' So yeah, what Parksey said

Oh man... those pics   .

Things went way too far. I'm not proud of how I posted; I did have the hump about some posts but I shouldn't have responded in the way that I did. I should have stepped away and taken a time-out to cool down.

I do really dislike negativity. It can be my kryptonite. But I have to accept that there *is* generally a negative view about this game and that there are good reasons to support that view. In my eyes there are also positives... but everyone here has the right to express their view about a game and, as with any other game, opinions are going to differ. I was annoyed with Gemini and Taf. Even so, that doesn't excuse me handling it the wrong way.

I post in GRcade because I want to chat about gaming and enjoy that scene; I don't want to be arguing with anyone here. So, I hold my hand up and apologise to Gemini, Taf and the forum.

Yes, yes they are. For all three of us.

I'll be damned if I'm going to let my (currently) out of control emotions make my decisions for me.

I like it here at GRcade. More importantly I like both the retro and retro weekender threads, where you and I share a very valued interest.

I'm sorry too, bro. 8-)

Yeah, it wasn't a good look for us. Oh, well, hopefully we've all blown off a bit of steam and can get back to just chatting about games :-) .

Been playing most of the night, the fact that its now gone 12:30AM and I've got to be up for work in the morning is a decent indication that the game is going to get my attention when it comes out.

Plenty of bugs and obviously a lack of NPCs is a strange choice for a Fallout game, but it doesn't make the game not fun to play.

I'm listening to this radio playlist and read in the comments that the radio is synced across each server. That's great :toot:
