Looking great!

Only thing I really don't like is that they're time limiting the new Fasnacht parade event :(

This repeatable, limited-time event will be available for one week, from March 19 - 26.

That sucks

Budget Adjustments: Some C.A.M.P. objects, such as Turrets and Lights, now consume far less budget, but also have a maximum amount that can be placed in a C.A.M.P. or Workshop.

These object recipes in the crafting menu now display how many of that item have already been built by the player in a C.A.M.P. or Workshop, including how many they have stored, as well as the maximum amount that can be placed.
Dev Note: Adding a max count to certain objects allows us to reduce those objects’ budget costs, while allowing us to keep an eye on their specific usage, as well as balance and performance. As a result, you’ll be able to build more stuff, and we’ll have more flexibility to refine and adjust C.A.M.P. and Workshop structure balance and performance.

This is fantastic though!

Radios: Classical and Appalachia Radios can now be crafted and placed in C.A.M.P.s and Workshops.

And this might be the number one thing I missed from Fallout 4! :D

I haven't played since last week (as I haven't had time for PS4 at all), but I definitely will be going back on this ASAP

Absolutely, SoK - that Deathclaw maze is a superb creation  . Terrific vid, too. Eurogamer recently chatted with the guy behind this and a few other Fallout 76 scenarios.

That maze is great

I finished another camp, this time in a ravine overlooking Whitesprings near central on the map. I wanted to place gatehouses to completely control the pass, which was fiddly but I got there!

That looks to be quite some location, Orange! This is probs a bit of a silly question, but... can you can build multiple camps? :o .

Unfortunately not, every new build means losing the old one. But that's okay, just like Lego the building is the fun part :toot:

Ah! I'd wondered if I was missing something! I imagine that your building skills are improving every time you make something fresh, though. I guess you could save each build as a blueprint so that - as long as you have the required materials - you could rebuild it?

Yeah I like to think I'm getting better, the systems can't exactly be called intuitive so it takes a while. I've just started playing around properly with electronics, as you can see with the switches for doors etc.

As for blueprints, unfortunately they made them limited in budget, so only small buildings can be blueprinted. Most of my camps have been built around specific terrain too, so can't be replaced as a blueprint. Placing blueprints is super finicky at the best of times so I'm just ignoring them now - which is a shame as the idea of the feature is a great one!

I'd made a blueprint of my (extremely simple) camp and wanted to build it elsewhere, but terrain variation didn't seem to allow it. I'd wondered if the "terrain clearing" feature included in a recent update would help with re-locating the camp but I haven't tried it out yet. Rather embarrassingly, I haven't played F76 at all since December; I got deep into FFXIV and haven't played much else. I'm putting F76 on my "want to play soon" list.

Terrain clearing definitely helps, and small buildings with only a couple of foundations are mostly fine.

And to be fair Jawa, better you play FFXIV considering you're paying for it ;)

I've booted up the game having not played since early December. I've forgotten nearly everything so I'm just reminding myself of the controls at present. I'm practically starting from fresh again :fp:  .

I noticed that the graphic distant background looked a bit fuzzy... delved into settings and the Field Of View was whacked up to maximum. I've set that to minimum and things look a LOT better!

I seem to be struggling for drink and food right away so I gotta remember how to get supplies going again. Can I play this game as well as playing FF XIV? I dunno, but I'm going to give it a go :-) .

EDIT: Ah! And I've worked out that the camera can be adjusted in third-person mode - hold the touchpad and move the right stick. Looks much better! It doesn't seem to mention this functionality in-game; I found it on the net.

I play almost exclusively in third person (other than building, which is always first person).

On drink, just get a water purifier set up in your camp and you'll be fine for water. If you desperately need water, just collect some dirty water and boil it, the radiation is minimal. I have an industrial water purifier in my camp and I have to stop myself from collecting water as I end up weighed down with 30 bottles and unable to shift them (because they sell for a lot so quickly cap out vendor caps too).

On food, I always have more than enough just from finding it, but cooking up meat from enemies should give you plenty also.

Unfortunately you just missed the week long Fasnacht event, but all the other updates are available. On Fasnacht Day I almost got every crafting recipe but am missing 3, which is a bit upsetting. I took pictures/a video of my Fasnacht bar, just need to get them uploaded and I'll share them here.

It was very cool having my bar built right near the week long event, as it meant I was constantly getting visitors. They'd sit at the bar and I'd sell them drinks, which I enjoyed immensely B)

One guy even gifted me a load of CAMP plans because he liked it so much

I kinda struggle to find the materials to make stuff. Hopefully I'll discover more bits and pieces as I put more time into the game. I'll set building the water purifier as my next goal.

That sounds like it was really cool, OR :) . Yes, it'd be ace to see a few pics of the event!

I hope that Orange won't mind that I've taken the liberty of sharing his hot-off-the-press photos and video here:

:toot: Thanks jawa! As Fasnacht is over I think the bar will be gone soon in favour of a base closer to somewhere useful for me, but it was fun while it lasted. It also maxes out the build limit (almost) completely

Last night I came across the munitions factory, I claimed it and powered it up and you can literally farm ammunition out of it at a decent rate! So I'm all loaded up on 5.56 ammo now.

Almost immediately on claiming it triggered a defend against scorchbeast attack, but lucky for me they can't see or get inside the factory so I just hid inside messing about with building as they circled forever overhead. If anything they were stopping anyone else from getting close

In other news, I found this death the other day pretty funny:

Petrol tank with trip mines nearby... oh-oh!

OR, this is probably a dumb question, but how do I get the water purifier? I don't have a blueprints for it so - answering my own question - I guess I need to progress the main quest? I haven't really done much of the quest yet... I just wandered off and stumbled around.

Good point, I can't remember where I got the various plans! A quick search has people suggesting different places too, but this sounds like a winner:

But yes, if you continue a little with the main quest it tends to prompt you in the direction of overseer cache's which have the important crafting plans in them.

Honestly though if you just collect a load of dirty water then boil it, boiled water will do you fine :)

Games are what you make of them, I guess. Even ostensibly "bad" games can be enjoyable.
