As soon as the candle flickered I guessed who it was and what would happen.

strawberry floating hell, that was something

The show makers really are masters of making you think you've guessed what's going to happen. Lots of references to things blowing up, making you think Lalo is going to be at the laundrette. The Howard wind up was almost a series long mcguffin (McGillfin?).

Poor Howard. :dread:

Man what a way to go!

I knew Lalo had entered the room when Jimmy's face changed into a shocked one as soon as the candle flickered. The confusion and shock said it all!

What are they going to do with his body? I can't see Lalo disposing of it seeing as he doesnt have the man power he used to to help him

Got to be a job for Mike to clean that up.

When the candle flickered the first time, I expected Lalo, then was surprised to see Howard, forgot all about lalo until the second flicker and then had an immediate OH SHIIIT moment, then he walked in. Was half expecting Kim to be killed in front of them.

Incredible stuff on so many levels, you knew he was strawberry floated as soon as the situation changes but it was still shocking!

Still in shock about that ending! Also love the way it recontextualises the episode title

Wow. I guess Howard was too much of a risk in identifying Lalo and his whereabouts should he have left. Still such a shock, I can't believe he just shot him like that, me and my partner were just sat on the sofa real sad in disbelief for ages after the credits rolled lmao

Great episode with a genuinely brutal ending.

Did we as the audience already know before this ep. that Howard's P.I. was really working for Jimmy because I totally missed that if so?

I don't believe so.

Ah, OK, thanks. I'd need to watch it again but that reveal seemed a little bit underplayed to me then.

Anyone have any thoughts what use Lalo could have for Jim/Kim? He drew the guards out of the laundrette so he could get evidence of the lab then changed his mind and went to their apartment, any idea why?

No it wasn't.

Though, as Howards PI was working for Jimmy and was sitting outside the boxing ring I'm surprised he didn't tip Jimmy off that Howard was H.O Ward!

Yeah. That adds another layer of tragedy on Howards end. He died innocently with his peers thinking he was a coke head into prostitutes - when he goes missing, it will be assumed he was mixed up in some trouble.

I'm just gonna say, I can't ever look into this thread until I've watched the latest episode because Barnsy never uses either inline spoilers or quoted ones. It's kinda maddening because he seems to watch them as soon as they go up on Netflix!

Some people are a few episodes behind, some others are SEASONS behind...

I don't ever go into a TV/movie thread until I've seen the latest episode. I can't comprehend why anybody would.

Also been avoiding this thread as I don't always watch at same pace, but really enjoying this final season. Feels like years of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul all being paid off big time.

I expected Howard was going to die this episode but they really sold me on it being suicide. Then just when he confronts Jimmy and Kim and you realise he's not suicidal and he's smart enough to completely figure out everything they've been doing. Maybe he'll survive after all... Nope!!

Why are we spoiling anything in here then?

I've no idea, people can put things in spoiler boxes if they want, it doesn't change that it's a bit silly to go into a TV thread before you've seen the latest episode.

I stay out of a thread until I've caught up, but I also appreciate things being spoilered if I am late to start a series but I want to ask a question about it.
