Do we know what year Breaking Bad started in, it might tell us how much of this story is left before the end.

BCS is set in 2002 and Jimmy has just been banned from the law for a year. Saul in BB seemed pretty established and well known as a lawyer so I would imagine we are a good few years away from catching up with BB. Which is good news as I don't want this show to end anytime soon.

Not really. They were around from the mid/late 90s all the way up to the early 2010s.

Yes....

It's possible that the year it was bottled is 2001. It was in oak barrels for 35 years. It stops ageing when it's bottled.

Breaking Bad was set in 2008 to I think 2010 from Walt's birthday breakfasts.

I guess that means we have quite a lot of BCS left, unless they do a big jump forward in time.

Just binged watched the first two seasons of this over the last few nights, absolutely fantastic television. It was always going to be special coming from the BB team but I'm still blown away by what they've managed to pull off.

It's connected to BB and obviously similar in many ways in terms of some of the themes and production but they've managed to make it stand alone and be it's own, truly wonderful creation.

Starting S3 tonight, I'm assuming we finally meet Fring and that's who left the note for Mike?

Also, although there's a lot to love about Jimmy, I can't help but feel that Chuck is pretty justified in what he's done so far. Jimmy is a bit of a dick, has a past as a criminal, has continued to break the law since supposedly "going straight", and has done some real gooseberry fool in the past like stealing thousands of dollars from their father causing him to lose his business and ultimately contributing to his death, and despite all this Chuck has continually had to witness people fall under Jimmy's spell and end up getting hurt. Team Chuck all the way!

I am not telling you who left the note, but you are in for a treat with S3. It's been absolutely wonderful.

Three seasons in, Chuck remains awful.

It's a testament to the writing and acting that once again the person who's technically in the right is the recipient of the hatred. I can't stand Chuck and have wanted to see his comeuppance the whole way through but I'm well aware that Jimmy is actually in the wrong overall.

I never understood the hatred towards Skyler.

Chuck might technically be in the right and he is also mentally ill, both of those are mitigating circumstances. But he is still a twat.

When Jimmy tried to improve himself and put himself through a law degree, Chuck did everything he could to stop him getting a job as a lawyer at the firm.

When Jimmy started a big case to help out the old people that were being ripped off, Chuck did everything he could to take it away from him and put it into the hands of his own firm.

When Chuck found out that Kim (who was tied to Jimmy) got the big bank contract, Chuck did everything he could to take it away from her.

When Chuck couldn’t accept that he might possibly have made a mistake, he bugged his house and played up his “illness” to entrap Jimmy.

Chuck might be right about Jimmy being a crook, but he is constantly a dick about it.
