Curious as to how much of Season 6 will be set ‘afterwards’. It may reference El Camino in some way?

How much longer until he turns crooked?

That's what we've been itching to see. (Me at least, anyway)

First episode was great as ever.

Am I forgetting something or do we not know what's happened with Gustavo's drugs yet? I remember the German fella definitely didn't steal them when he ran away but I can't remember if we know why Gus lied about it or if that's a mystery at this point.

Decided to wait until tonight to watch so that I can see the first two episodes of the season back to back.

It's not a black and white situation though is it. He's always been crooked to a certain extent and the show is more about how he's descended further down that path.

I've really enjoyed how they have taken their time to show how bit by bit Jimmy has been washed away and the way they've explored the events and aspects of his life that have caused that change over time.

I believe there's nothing wrong with the drugs. Gus has staged an issue to manufacture a situation where he can explain the disappearance/chase of Ziegler and also the mystery construction project.

One of the real skills of the writing staff on BCS is to create entire plot lines by anticipating how every character would interpret/misinterpret every situation. The whole underground cave is an engaging and dramatic solution to a problem that no-one ever had with in BB.

Two very strong opening episodes for this season. Nacho jumping across buildings and Lalo's reaction was hilarious.

Saul is a clever guy, the cell phone thing is a genius way of getting the clients he wants.

Yeah really enjoyed those two episodes, a very strong opening for the season. Rhea Seehorn is doing such a good job with Kim - you can see just how torn she is between wanting to be with and believe in Jimmy whilst at the same time continuing to realise just how much "Saul" is taking over and that she's likely powerless to do anything about it.

I actually think BCS Gus Fring is proving more sinister and intimidating that he was in BB. His conversation in the car with Nacho and the confrontation with Mike after letting the German's go were so intense!

Most heartbreaking moment - Mike's misplaced anger at his granddaughter.

I felt this was a weak spot in the opening two episodes. The snap of anger was too unearned. There was no clear tie between his guilt and stress over Ziegler and his grief for his own son. The challenge with writing a reserved and unemotive character like Mike is that you risk making him limited in his emotional range. I'd have preferred to see Mike trying to change the topic or divert Kaileigh's attention before snapping.

Anyway, I think Tony Dalton's performance of Lalo is of the highest, highest quality, alongside Rhea Seehorn. In a show full of grim determination and quiet menace, his levity and swagger is much needed.

I'm not so sure, I think they handled it well. It was implied at the start of the sequence that Mike had been restless in struggling to process what happened with Ziegler and the fallout with Fring, he's very slow to wake up and it seems that he spent the night drinking and that he really would rather not be spending the time looking after Kayleigh today. But he knows that he owes it to his stepdaughter so of course he goes round, worse for wear and clearly not in the right frame of mind for it. He does try to steer Kayleigh away from the topic of her father a couple of times before snapping as well, not overtly but he tries to keep the focus on the job at hand.

Mike is reserved, but he's still responsible for one of the most emotional scenes in the whole show - the "I broke my boy" sequence from the first season is utterly heartbreaking and a sensational performance from Johnathan Banks.

Anyway, I think Tony Dalton's performance of Lalo is of the highest, highest quality, alongside Rhea Seehorn. In a show full of grim determination and quiet menace, his levity and swagger is much needed.

Agreed, Lalo is another great addition to the mix - looking forward to how the Salamanca vs. Fring scenario plays out with him. I don't think it's explicit that Lalo is dead in BB but I think we can assume things don't end well!

Catching up on the previous series (which I missed somehow), and the scene with Chuck singing karaoke is on.

My Missus says she never knew he had such a good voice.
I blew her mind wide strawberry floating open when I told her he is the lead singer of Spinal Tap! She never realised apparently...

So much this. I was legit terrified when he was in the car with Nacho. Incredible acting from both men.

The opening to the latest episode made me realise that I would watch 10 seasons of ants eating things. Beautifully shot.

Thanks to spoilers I knew it was coming, but I loved seeing Hank and Steve again.

Another stunning episode, the opening was amazing, such a simple thing to show, but such a good idea.

Best episode of the season so far. Loved the fun and flirty dynamic between Kim and Jimmy, and glad to see Kim's transparent plays called out.

My wife, despite having watched all of breaking bad with me 3 times now, somehow managed to miss that Gus is gay and the guy Hector killed was his partner
