What's the betting Jason David Frank makes an appearance in some form?

Who gives a gooseberry fool when we might get the Pink Ranger back?

If Jet from Gladiators makes a cameo (for no reason) then I might just start puberty again.

I read that as David Jason at first.

Del Boy, Gold Ranger.

I'd watch the gooseberry fool out of this, if they did the right think and excluded everything after the first three seasons.

From the sounds of it though - with talk of "taking it to the next level" - they'll be increasing the bullshit levels rather than going back to what made the original series good.

Yeah probably. Would love it to follow the original idea of the original series. It was a great show. Later series of power rangers became obsessed with focusing on the future or alternate realities.

I hope they have original cast members make a cameo of some kind.

Loved Power Rangers back in the day, watched it quite faithfully during the first five seasons of its run when it all followed a coherent storyline, before it became yearly cast/costume changes. I really hope they don't mess this up.

If they were to follow the loose plot of the first episode and the green ranger story arc then it would make for a fantastic movie with the right cast. Hopefully they'll try and stay fairly faithful to the original series and keep it relatively light-hearted and fun rather than going for a gritty, serious reboot.

As long as the words 'dark' or 'gritty' don't rear their head I'd be well up for getting drunk and watching this

I've always thought Power Rangers was terrible, the costumes, the acting, the monsters, everything was utterly abysmal.

It was, obviously. When I was a kid though I thought it was the best thing ever. I even made a full set of Lego Zords that could all join together.
