One of my favourite games of all time.

Happy birthday Rapture!

What a game. Maybe I've got rose tinted specs but I seem to remember it as a golden period for gaming (Assassin's Creed aside), and BioShock was more than played its part.

There were so many positives it's hard to pick out an particular strengths... though I guess Rapture itself was the star of the show.

Flip. Time moves too quickly.

I liked the story, setting and atmosphere. The gameplay wasn't too great and the pacing felt a little off though.

I don't think it was worthy of the praise it got, in all honesty.

Both 1 & 2 were excellent. The story and atmosphere more than made up for the sometimes clunky combat..venturing to every new area was always exciting. Shame infinite didnt continue this but the DLC more than made up for it.

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Probably the best demo of all time, shame those featured characters were used over and over in the final game along with their quotes.

The last third of the game was also a drag.

Oh boy... ten years! I picked up Bioshock on release day alongside my new Xbox 360 Elite. It was my first venture into that console generation and I was stunned by Bio'... that opening of fire and water... the climb up the tower... amazing music... and the water bursting through the glass. Incredibly atmospheric and wonderfully presented.

But then I got spooked out and stopped playing it  :fp: . Even so, I shall boot up my 360 and load the game to celebrate this anniversary :toot: .

I laboured at finally playing this, sometime into 2012 I think and I loved every second. Rapture is an incredible world. It's definitely one I'd like to replay at some stage but I've got a long enough list of unplayed games and a Switch...

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Amazing, love those podcasts, listen to them every few months, you really know the games to an almost forensic level. I've also watched the vid you posted about 10 times!

I'm slightly star struck.

I've started to watch Ord's commentary on Bioshock... it's great and I will sit down with a cuppa tonight to watch the bulk of it :toot: .

It'll contain spoilers but you're never gonna play it through, enjoy.

Love that he uses Tell Tales TWD sound track at parts, really suits. I'd love a similar Ordtopsy for 2 and Infinity but I presume it takes ages to put together.

I have started Bioshock a few times and never finished, last one I got to some bit that strawberry floated me as I needed to kill a thing but I had no ammo at all so couldn't kill it.

Pretty much lost interest at that point.

So... I've seen that The Bishock Collection is currently £16 on the PS Store. I guess this could be a good way of playing through the titles? I have looked up a few vids and the remastered versions, whilst not astounding, appear to be pretty decent.

The is my fear... I love the design and vibe of the game, but it seems to be tough. I'm wondering if I, too, could get a bit frustrated by it.
