Just be aware that it's basically gambling, and so only use money that you can afford to lose.

I know hindsight is a great thing but I think with the number of previous 'crashes' we've had this past year or more, it was always going to bounce back. But as they say - time in the market is better than timing the market. But it helps if you buy in a dip, of course. Just don't bottle it when it 'crashes'.

Good points you mentioned there
I need to when until another drop and buy in them hold. Also in the short term keep buying and selling

I think a good strategy is to put money into crypto when you'd otherwise put money into savings. So, each month you put £x into it. BUT, choose the dips/mini crashes to invest it. Now is a very good time to start.

Btw, have you set up a Coinbase/gdax account yet? You want to be setting these up now, so that you have an active account when the next dip happens.

I only have coinbase at the moment. Need to link it to something like gdax so that I can get other currencies. Agree with your points about buying when its low and with savings etc.
Actually when you refer to Gdax do you mean its accuracy in tracking the values?

GDAX and coinbase are basically the same company, and for whatever reason, they have 2 separate exchanges. When you get a Coinbase account set up, you will automatically be able to link it to GDAX. The benefit of this is that GDAX has very low fees - and Coinbase has very high fees. Also, for whatever reason, most of the exchanges seem to have different pricings.

I now have bought a couple of Ripple XRP! I bought about 72p are now worth £1.05. Roughly a 50% increase. I'm wondering if it's worth putting a few quid into this.

They are stored online. I want to buy a couple more so now have to learn how to store them offline. So am trying to learn about this now.

Looks like South Korea is what people are speculating for the downswing for BTC.

I used Coinbase to buy Bitcoin then sent them to Poloniex.com where I was able to buy the XRP.
I don't want to do anything rash but that is a pretty big increase on my (modest) deposit!

Nice what kind of fee if you don't mind me asking did you incur for moving BTC to the new exchange?

When I sent £95 worth of Bitcoin there was £17 fee. Today when I sent 4x as much there was a £15 fee. So it's something I need to investigate because that doesn't make any sense to me.

Apparently there's the SegWit2x fork happening today for anyone holding BTC.

I believe it changes all the time due to demand etc so you won't ever get the same fee typically I might be wrong.

You can set the fee in coinbase if not in the android app.

Reducing the fee will increase transaction times but you can drop the fee to 0 if you want it isn't a mandatory thing, however a fee of 0 will probably never process.

I wonder how long it’ll take for this Ponzi scheme to collapse like a house of pyramids made from speculation?
