ETH back over £2k this morning.

Onwards and upwards.

Where's Igor?

I'm pretty sure it was less than a month ago we were around the £1.2k mark and I said to myself I'd start drawing profits when it hit £2k. Now I'm like... £3k or bust :shifty:.

Igor's advice will probably revolve more about stocks and to be honest I don't even know the best way of buying them. I tried signing up to an app but they put me on a waiting list due to current high demand and I've still not heard back. That was probably six weeks ago now.

No one can confidently go on record to advise investment in cryptocurrency. It's too volatile. If you have a bit of spare cash you don't mind putting down at high risk I'd angle for a coin with a low value as obviously the potential of a larger percentage increase is there. I've gone for Cardano, which is currently dancing around the £1 mark.

Not to be down on Igor in any way but I'm reading NNT's Black Swan book and this is a great example of it. Just because Igor was incredibly lucky with his timing of picks, and has a relatively high risk profile compared to the rest of us, doesn't mean we should be treating him as a soothsayer.

All my money's in property just now but as it comes back in I'll be putting it into Vanguard equities again instead of crypto. The rewards will be less for a time but I don't have the balls to stake large chunks of money on what could be a house of cards.

Waiting to see if ETH drops a bit this morning then going to buy. Currently just under 2k.

Bolded for emphasis. We should probably add this to the first page, even the thread title maybe, and endeavour to remind everyone regularly:

Do not invest in cryptocurrency with any money other than what you can comfortably afford to lose entirely.

Don't bother trying to time it. As long as you're not making a rash decision to buy, i.e. you've properly thought about it and considered what you can afford, the time is now.

It could jump further in the next half an hour, it could drop like a stone the minute after you pull the trigger. No one knows.

Bought and realised that I can't buy at market rate.

Getting close to doubling the amount I've put in to ETH this year. Which is nice.

I found that a few banks didn't like Coinbase and wouldn't let me add money (sterling and Halifax).

I put £150 in bitcoin, £50 in etherium, £5 in XRP and £5 in Stellar lumens on my Revolut card

I have £10 with out fees of xrp in Coinbase plus all the rewards.

Also I put £15 in etherium in a Binance account.

At the moment my £235 in worth about £475 but I know this could all go to nothing. I'm just hoping it will pay for some PC and bike components upgrades in the future.

This is now worth around £700 although have added an extra £20 in Doge/Orchid + mining £20 worth of bitcoin.
Tbh the rewards from Coinbase have really helped me up the money but i got these before it all went up in the last 2 months.

It is but I'm under no illusion that it could all crash to nothing over night when I'm not watching but I do kinda believe that it's here to stay so if I can make a little money then all is good. It has been fun to watch what's going on.

I've got to be careful here. With no interest rates anywhere else and not many financial commitments right now, it's so tempting to keep pouring my cash into Crypto. But with 4 K already in it, and future commitments I'll need money for, I can't just pour it all in xD
