Meh, there was a point when I said 'no more investing in Crypto, just let it ride' and I've done that. I stuck to my plan and it's gone pear shapped. I'll continue to watch it plummet and hope that by the end of 2023 or whenever this bear Market is over that I can take out my original investment.

I'm not sure how much down I'd be if I withdrew TODAY but probably not too much, sad thing is it's locked in until end of August. (I'd have likely withdrew my original deposits about a month ago in all honesty had it not been.)

I don't have much faith in it recovering, and I'll laugh at my own stupid self in years to come if it doesn't, but in all honesty, it's money I can afford to lose(although what a stupid strawberry floating way to lose it), so I have forgotten about it and I'm letting it ride the storm. Hopefully my patience will pay off.

I'm glad I have stuck to my guns of don't buy any more and don't buy more than I can afford to lose now. I am not tempted in the slightest to 'buy the dip' as I just can't see much sign of this stopping. I'm hoping I'm wrong, but meh, I invested in something for personal gain and I got burned, maybe it's Karma.

Work have banned me from seeing this image. It must be super nawty, shame on you.

I came back online specifically to look at this. I thought it'd be fun but as always from you it's a bit bitter and mean. I am always down to earth, open, happy to take advice and be criticised, but your bitter constant posts are getting irksome. Chin up a bit, you're ruining the vibe, you'll get your house eventually mate.

What in god's name is this post

It's calling you out for being a banana split, kicking him while he's down in a way that you hoped would be funny but just came across as unnecessarily cruel.

Does that clear it up?

Yeah my apologies if a little knives out. I should have stuck to Thumpers old motto of 'if you don't have anything nice to say.... I was expecting something light hearted and funny but it seemed more like an attack is all. I'll leave it at that.

Tbh pointing out someone struggles to purchase property not in a position to take massive risks in volatile markets could be somewhat sly. The less well off aren't simply over skeptical, tight or otherwise pessimistic. They are frugal by necessity; not for lack of pride, diligence or integrity or more importantly, striving for more, "success" or whatever.

At the same time it's a tough time for anyone invested in crypto and some are not handling it well, so to be humble about it is pretty much all you really can do.

From another perspective that might look like, "oh well, I can afford to lose this money" and that is always hard to hear when someone absolutely cannot afford to lose money on speculation.

Reason: It's not sly; thread spillover from buying a house thread

I didn't mean it as an attack - I only intended to poke fun at it, not to upset you like that.

I don't want to have a forums enemy, so I accept your apology and I also offer an apology of my own for that image.

It was probably just blocked from Discord's CDN btw.

Because Discord at work must be abhorrent activities.

Yes no worries at all, apology accepted and returned.
I got a bit testy, and I do genuinely mean it with the house stuff; I'm rooting for you, but I shouldn't have brought it up out of context. That stuff is for the no context thread.

Surely no-body in their right mind would invest in NFTS? Quarkcoin, it's gonna go to the moon, just you wait.

The Market seems to have stopped plummeting for the time being, still not buying any 'dips' though. Could be a nice flat bit before the next drop xD

I caught them last year, stored them on my top shelf, then they slipped and tried to pierce me in the head. Urghhh.

Netflix have released Eat the Rich: The GameStop Saga.

https://www.netflix.com/gb/title/81424332?s=a&trkid=13747225&t=more&vlang=en&clip=81620637

The trailer looks like it could be a fun rewatch of when memes became dreams.

Judging by the trailer it's not going to be a very accurate portrayal of what happened.

The whole GameStop thing isn't even over yet. I bought a handful of shares a while back when there was a dip and have been following closely ever since.

I genuinely don’t like to look at my crypto to me it’s a risky punt and I’m convinced it’ll pay off at some point.

However looking at the charts briefly I wish I’d taken just some out in the huge run last year but oh well.

Think it’ll be a while before (or if) Bitcoin & such goes anywhere close to last year. I’ve started accumulating a lot of PLU (From the Plutus card),as I get an easy £20 each month with £20 cashback (there’s things like Netflix/Tesco/Sainsburys.. etc)

I saw a McDonalds in Switzerland is taking Bitcoin payments. We’ve had some contact our work trying to get us to do something similar and I just balked.

It’s far too volatile for me for a businesses to realistic take payment with, or as a customer. I don’t see why really you’d want to pay with it over cash or a debit card.

Well today's been a bloodbath. After seeing my holdings jump up a little at the weekend and debating selling just a little, today has ultimately destroyed the happiness at the idea I had at the weekend.

My crypto portfolio is now only worth £20 -that's 25% of my original investment. :dread:

I should have cashed out when I was £20 up. :(

On the other hand, I won £5 on the lottery last week. :toot:

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.
