Mine was purchased for £125 and is worth about £40 currently. Was about £225 at one point.

At least I didn't put stupid money in.
Think I will leave it there just incase.

The recent fall is due to FTX losing public confidence and the risk of insolvency. If that isn't resolved quickly, that fear could spread to other Crypto markets. We could have a big crash on the horizon.

It seems for me a lot of it is reflecting the FTX scandal going on at the moment. In some ways it looks like most a hit by the Binance owner causing the news about FTX apparently not actually having the funds to support its exchange to the public.

But it appears despite the hostility between them and support otherwise, it's actually true and this mega exchange is going under - which made thousands withdraw their coins and put it in massive trouble.

Major problem with this is, a) FTX doesn't have the money to meet obligations by all accounts but as they aren't a bank not much will probably happen over people losing millions b) Binance pulled out of buying FTX meaning it's ruined more, c) This further (as always) knocks public perception of cryptocurrencies or bitcoin down much further and who can blame them?

These exchanges such as FTX, Binance, Coinbase will and are currently the easiest way for the general public to invest and store some funds before being cold storage.

I've stopped paying attention in all honesty. I put it into a Defi wallet and stopped following in Summer when it all went pear shaped. It's already gone to me that money, if by some magic it recovers to new ATH in the mid to late 2020's then great. If not, well a valuable lesson was learnt.

Logged into Coinbase to check on the damage. They're saying "Unfortunately we have to close your Coinbase account. Before your account can be closed, you’ll need to withdraw your crypto funds to an external wallet"

When I try to move the coins it says sending BTC is disabled for my account. :?

Does anyone know why this would be? Aside from Coinbase being total gooseberry fool.

Probably suspected financial crime. Just go with the Father Ted excuse "the money was just resting in my account!". A bit of Placement, Layering and Integration never hurt anyone.

(I have no idea if that's the case but you might have inadvertently tripped a KYC / DD system if Coinbase even have systems in place for such things).

I presume you have asked Coinbase for an explanation?

I emailed their support team, yeah. No response, some threads on Reddit saying it often takes about a week per reply.

I’m finding in general these companies are horrific at support (aside from Kraken).

Do they keep them in an attic so that people cannot see how the portraits rapidly age?
