So Bjork's new album Boniophilia is coming out in just over a month. Is anyone looking forward to it?

I don't really like the idea of it being a "multimedia experience" or whatever (coming with iPad apps to interact with the music, etc) - sounds a bit gimmicky to me. I'm more interested in the music.

There's a clip of the song Crystalline in the article, it sounds pretty decent.

Thoughts?

Ironically I was reading about this today as well. New Bjork is always somethig that interests me, even if I haven't fully absorbed/fallen in love with her last album. Agree that the App thing sounds a little gimmicky but knowing Bjork there will be at least a couple golden tracks.

Yeah I found Volta a bit of a letdown, too. It's grown on me a bit since, but it's not her best.

I bought 'Homogenic' and 'Post' on Amazon last week and managed to somehow totally miss her new albums listing. Looking forward to hearing it in September, I'm intrigued to see what kind of sound it has.

So this is out today! I've yet to find a source for a "sneak preview" - anyone else?

I downloaded a torrent that was put up 2 weeks ago and had a listen. Pretty good. There's a few Newsome-esque slow 'mood' ones but there are some pretty out there parts too.

Thunderbolt has a slight dubstep flavour in places with its beat and Crystalline has this mad Aphex Twin-esque programmed drum freak out at the end.

I don't know if this is the complete version (seeing as it was uploaded 2 weeks before release) - it could be a rough mix or pre-master or something. Sounding good though.
