Picked the wrong weapon :fp:

It's serving my purposes very well thank you so very much indeedy!

I've picked up the saw cleaver as well and have been experimenting with each. I love the extra range the axe gets when transformed, and the sweeping L2 attack has come in very handy!

Ooh err.

Much as I was tempted by the idea of the cane so I could strut my funky stuff around Yarnham I figured something a but heftier would come in handy!

There's some adapting to do but my experiences with DS are definitely helping so far - I can imagine some of the opening areas being a nightmare for full on newbies.

I'm sure there is lots of fun to come yet though!

Also, I took Gazza down :datass:

Cane is a quick weapon

And it becomes a whip.

It also can therefore deal 2 types of damage making it the best

Well done on Father G so quickly!

Ah fair enough, I was intrigued by the whip option to be fair :shifty:

Father G was a bit tricksy to be fair, I could deal with his normal form fine but it took a few goes to put him down after his transformation!

Did you use the music box?

Cane does serrated damage in whip form - which is best for anything beastily.

Normal form does....something else

So much this. Its so much better then DS watch hitboxes touch and a squelchy sound effect happen. And the dodge. Oh the dodging can be exhilarating. :datass:

I'm very proud of you and would like it if you returned to DS soon.

Although knowing you the amount of practice and remembering you'll have to do you might as well start again!

Haha! I've fallen into the trap of playing-a-little-bit-of-too-many-games recently. Think I'm gonna have to call a halt to that and focus on just a couple. I do want to return to Souls... but, yeah, I'm apprehensive that I will have to re-learn the controls and timings. We'll see!

I did not use the music box. Tied him up on the gravestones for the initial part of the battle then a combo of keeping my distance, stunning him with my gun and then going in for hits on the "monster" phase.

Took down the Cleric Beast on my first try. :datass:

He seems to move around quite a lot but not actually dish out too much damage? Just dodged his jumping and lunging attacks and then got in close and hit him with some full charged R2 attacks. Chucked a couple of Molotov's at him for good measure as well.

Think I'm mostly done with exploring Central Yharnam now, enjoyed going round knocking on people's doors and being told to strawberry float off in a variety of ways! :slol:

Streamed some of this tonight which was fun (thanks again to those who joined me! ) - mainly pootling around Old Yharnam.

Got gunned down by the guy on the tower a few times, but he clearly wasn't up to my skill level for the return fight ... :slol:

After that success I was on a roll and managed to take down the Blood-starved Beast on my first go: :datass:

I also had pretty much the same thing happen to me with the gun fight.

Amazing game, glad you're enjoying it.

Haha, serves him right for being a right dick with that machine gun!

I really am loving this. It's taken everything I thought was great about Dark Souls, given it a fresh twist, sprinkled on a bit more lore, ramped up the intensity in combat and wrapped the whole thin in a gorgeous style!

I've yet to meet a bastard of a boss though so when that happens it will officially become shite again!

I think if I wasn't coming into this fairly quick off the back of playing DS I would be struggling!

Most of the main encounters have responded well to my tried and tested tactics. I imagine I will hit a wall sooner or later when I need to mix things up. I really haven't explored the gun options all that much so far, and I must admit I'm feeling exposed without a shield - though it does force you to be more agile and aggressive which is really fun!

Seriously. Biggest pain in the arse for me in the entire game bar the last boss. Infuriating.

Apologies for saying this yet again but the situation with the gunner can be resolved far more amicably.

Was a pain for me too. Had to farm for antidote a few times to.... a sign of things to come. :dread: :dread: :dread: Hope the farming gods are kind to you on your journey Jenny. I'll try and pop into your streams at some point.

Pretty sure thats how everyone beats the gunman.
