He's not been to the area where he'do that I think

That's what I thought it's just somebody asked about meeting Iosefka.

DONT READ SMELLY JENNYS

I meant had he spoken to the front door - because she also offers to take survivors in, which he mentioned above.

I wasn't thinking about Jenuall and backdoor action. (No context bait!)

Seeing all this chat is reminding me of when Matt beat the very last boss, may have been a true end boss or DLC Boss or something and I was there the whole time enjoying it. And making me wish he'd start DS3 :(

I'm still planning on starting out in DS3 again soon, hopefully I won't be tired of the series by that point!

So I explored the Cathedral Ward some more and took down Vicar Amelia:

Not sure if I was meant to get to her a bit earlier as she was another fairly easy win and the tank approach is still holding strong! :datass:

Went back to the clinic and spoke to Iosefka, Noemi have the option to send people back to her as well. Do I pick the nice sounding lady or the creepy freak to send my survivors to? Hmm, feel like I should call their bluff and go with the creepy dude!

Boo!

Although that Axe is doing quite a bit of damage

I started this today - I forget how the first section of the game is the absolute worst

Yeah the axe is doing the business at the moment, it's upgraded to +6 and has some damage increasing gemstones on it as well.

The opening section up to Gascoigne and the early parts of the Cathedral Ward have been the trickiest sections so far for me I would say.

Haha, it is starting to feel a little but OP... :slol:

Like I say I keep expecting something to counter it better, faster attacks, forcing me to keep my distance...

It does have a long duration before the swing so there is skill in getting into place, timing it right etc.

I feel better now. It's not that Jenny's good, it's just he that just happened to pick easy mode.

Screw you!

I've been doing plenty of reading myself and most people seem to think the Saw Cleaver is more overpowered than the Axe, along with some other weapons which I don't think I've come across yet. Lots of people saying that the slowness, stamina cost and how open it leaves you to parrying are all major downfalls of the axe. So obviously this isn't easy mode! :capnscotty:

Clearly you're just jealous about how effectively I can handle my weapon. ;)

Spent a while last night trying to get to the door you can see halfway down the descent below the Healing Church Workshop, I can't seem to find a route down there that doesn't result in me dying from fall damage when I land. I might just need to come back when I've got more HP. Do any stats influence fall damage?

Decided I'm going to trust Iosefka and will start sending people to her instead of the creepy Russell Brand sounding dude* in the church, time will tell whether this was a smart move! After beating Amelia it seems that the world state has moved on and some creatures have gone and others seem less prone to attack me so I figured there's probably a cut off point when I can't "rescue" people any more and it might be worth starting to do it now!

Had a first stroll through the Forbidden Woods as well, didn't go too far but seems like an interesting area on first viewing!

*so many people in this have dodgy cockney accents, it's like listening to one of Jawa's streams half the time!

It's exactly like Dark Souls - so no HP/Def stats won't help you, a fall of a certain height will always remove X% of your HP.

If you want to know how many survivors there are to find...

Use Google."
