Nah you saw them. You just didn't care. You're the worst and why we can't have nice things

Oh I see, I've demonstrated that I can still kick ass using your precious cane and now you have to move on to insulting me in other ways. :P

DS3 seemed to be much more online orientated than Bloodborne in my experience

DS3 is the only one I played a substantial amount of in online mode. If anything all the bloods stains, messages and ghosts of other players was just annoying more than anything!

Another day another boss down. :datass:

Wound my way through the Unseen Village, which eventually turned out to just be an extension of the earlier Hypogeaen Gaol area. I was wondering if we would see a return to respawning enemies in this after they made more of an appearance in DS1 so it's nice that they eventually turn up here - very satisfying to locate and take down the lady summoning them with her bell!

Following the cutscene after defeating Rom it now seems that various areas have the faint cries of a baby in the background which is nice and sinister. Some of the lore notes scattered around seem to reference this - lots of talk of rituals to summon the moon, how this will turn us all into beasts and that these rituals "crave a newborn"...

Either way this area was fun apart from the monsters made up of lots of corpses, they can strawberry float right off.

The boss was another fairly easy one - avoid the fireballs being thrown from above (which I realised after the fight I could have gone up and dealt with directly!), stay on your toes, and zip in for a few hits at the right opportunity. Job done.

Following the boss I was whisked back to the lecture building where I discovered that the dude behind the door on the first floor was actually a spider, and appears to be a reference to the same arsehole who shoved you down a hole in DS1 as well! Killed some more former students/faculty and made my way out of the lecture building to be sent to another "nightmare" area, which I shall be exploring next time! :toot:

So you're not a million miles from the end...depending on what end you go for, how much you explore, and if you figure out some lore stuff. (Trying to be vague you've got more than 1 boss left) Basically if you do a boss with the initials MWN stop after that

You've missed at least 2 optional areas based on what you've said (and that door you need learn to fall to better)

There's also the DLC to access

A spot of vandalism never goes amiss either.

Ah okay cool.

It's been a while since I properly explored (or returned to any earlier areas) so I do need to go back and poke about more. I know of one place that I want to return to off the top of my head already, that and the door to fall to are probably going to be my next targets!

Spoiler for help - up to you to look or not

You've missed a key in the Unseen Village - at least you haven't mentioned picking it up

Going to hold off on looking at that spoiler for now, I'll do some exploring and see what I can turn up first!

Only just realised last night that you can keep wailing on enemies for a short while after you've killed them as a way to regain more of your health! :fp:

Now I feel slightly better about myself. :datass: My thoughts on some of the stuff you've done recently-

Fight against Bob the One Reborn= janky clumsy shite
The respwaning enemies= boring recycling
Thicko Rom= Tedious cack that is subtly easier at the first attempt
Shadows= Surprisingly easy for multi boss fight I found but some cheap shite in it
Forest= Starts off ok. Gets really boring fast with the snake area just being one tedious slog.

I'm so glad you are not having to farm for vials like I did. Fooking stupid shitty system.

The sky changing and all the sounds etc. Fecking brilliant.

That's not strictly true, it's that if you've taken damage, the little marker of where your health was stays there for a small time, and hitting the enemy that hurt you can fill it back up.

Yeah I get the general mechanic, but the fact you can continue to hit dead enemies to get a few bits more health back was the recent revelation!

Also the fact that it doesn't have to be the enemy that hurt you who can give you health back - mind blown!

I've seen plenty of chatter online about farming for vials and quicksilver bullets but it hasn't been something that I've had to do at all, I always seem to have plenty of everything. I've started to sell bullets now because I've reached the limit!

To be fair, you used an OP stun lock axe for all the hardest fights in the base game. Why would you need to heal/parry?

Oh I see, it's my fault. I picked at random one of the starting weapons and it worked well for me, get over it. ;)

The game is over 4 years old and is at version 1.09 - they've made copious tweaks and balancing changes to it since launch. If they've left something in after all that then it's hardly my fault is it!

Isn't it time for you to humble brag about a boss you 1 shot last night? I'm about to have my morning snack and that's normally a good read.

Any idea about the story/lore?
