Bloody hell thats pretty damn good! That tactic doesn't work as i get overwhelmed by the spiders. Got it down to a quarter left yesterday, but then got killed in a few hits. Frustrating, but i will defeat rom with some help.

Here's my Rom fight, took aaaaages.

Unless it's someone from here who knows what they're doing I wouldn't bother with summoning someone for that fight, I just ended up wasting insight on people who'd obviously never fought Rom before and who just steamed in and died really quickly :fp:

Maybe I'm just real gud.

EDIT: strawberry float that. I cannot do Unseen Village... It's not fun and it's not fair. strawberry float shitty respawn enemies. Why are the bell ringers always strawberry floating invisible?! I can hear them but they're nowhere to be seen.

Unseen Village is really easy, you can just run from the first lamp to the second one without even taking a hit. The bell ringers aren't invisible. First one is in the room down the at the start stairs, second one you get to by dropping off the ledge on the right just as you go down the little stairs to the bit with the big later attack (this is also how you get the Upper Cathedral Ward key)

Downed rom with a random co-op player. They seemed to know exactly what they were doing, so were a great help and previous experience helped me time my attacks and runs too.

Into a new area and disappointed the price of items has increased again! Thankfully i had stocked up on vials and bullets as well as molotovs.

The new area seems a bit creepy in all honesty! Also found out that everytime i get a trophy it takes an image of it being achieved!

Beat the next boss with help from two veterans it would seem! They surely must be more than 10 levels ahead of me. Anyway the help and guidance towards hidden items was awesome! I shall thank them later. The co-op element has really added an extra dimension to the game. At times you feel alone, but when going co-op its so satisfying!

Can online co-op play be achieved on dark souls 1/2 too?

Probably level up to 80 and then move forward. Must say i don't like the generic chalice dungeons...they look a bit awful tbh.

Just started this, died a lot. An awful lot. I keep returning to it though. Trying to pace myself and not just rush in. Wonderful setting and feel to the whole place.

Wish my image sig would work

Yes, you can co-op most of Dark I and II, Demon's too for that matter.

For the first few hours I really made very little progress. I then learned how to approach the enemies and progressed a little bit quicker. The resonant bell has helped me quite a bit both with offline NPC's and online ones via co-op, which really is a great help. It's almost like a real time interactive guide!

What's the point in having someone else kill all the bosses?

Well done! That is some dedication :)

I found the benefit of the Nightmare Lecture Theatre the other night, nice! I also had my first experience of an invasion. A bit of a scrappy affair but I came out on top :)

I thought you had to 'allow' people to invade your game though (through the use of some item or other), here was me thinking I was quite safe!...comparatively speaking.

In that area the bell woman is just there rather than being summoned in by the beckoning bell.

Also having trouble with the last boss on this character as he's too fast to get many Blades Of Mercy hits in, especially as the range is as short as it is considering he follows each swipe with a backstep. So it's basically just a huge amount of scratch damage.

Good times.

Edit: big G down, all endings get legitimately. Just the chalices now.

Killed the first boss and now I'm up to level 16. Had an epic 40 ish mine session without dying leading to the first boss battle. Wasn't too bad once I had got an idea what I was doing.

So hard to resist the temptation to rush in and kill all. Evaluate, lure, kill, heal and repeat seems to be the way to win. Currently saving for new weapons and a key for something or other.

Utterly loving it. So glad I kept going, was close to trading it in, after so many deaths in such a short time. But its old school. Almost NES old school in its difficulty, but so far its not been cheap at all.

Damn right godzilla - i just couldn't get used to the dodge and swipe tactics and the whole risk/reward element. I was pretty close to just selling the game and suspect many on ebag did the same thing. Glad i didn't as this is my best ps4 game so far in this pretty awful generation. Dark souls after this just feels so slow and awkward! The graphics have also really grown on me and the varied environments have surprised me after the opening few areas. Beat the bolt beast thing in the first section via online co-op help and have been levelling up a bit. Will continue further into the game during the week and hope to complete this although am hoping the game lasts me a while yet. Haven't checked any walkthroughs so not sure how far i am into the game, but am guessing around halfway as i haven't really played much of the chalice dungeons. Not sure they have grown on me at all so far!

The chalice dungeons aren't really anything special, I'm only doing them because that's how you get to the bonus boss for the last trophy.

That said: defiled Keeper. Being harder than he should be. Even with the 50% hp issue.

Or get the right the tools for the job. Go back to Bloodbeast Paarl and destroy with careful under head positioning, extended axe and fire paper picking up the Tesla Mace (sic) on the way. Head back to the Shadow and destroy them in a few short minutes with the new weapon, levelled up, of course.

Haven't bothered using that new weapon, maybe I should?

I wasn't a big fan of it, except in that particular boss battle. It does have the advantage of being able to use your right hand weapon when in it's L1 form, but when I got the 'kin' deadly hard Castle level, I soon went back to my trusty Axe and Sword

So, I've killed the witch, I've killed amygdala, where to now? Where is this Rom I keep hearing about? I must have missed a boss at Byrgenwerth or something because I just killed the old man in the chair and there was nothing left to do.
