 Love it! Would be good if we had a few more votes on our team name. We've got until 5pm today to decide!

God it looks funny seeing our Tribe name in the wrong colour.

The nerves when posting now, making sure it's in the right thread.

Isn't it! This game setup is playing on me. Part of me is wary of saying anything in the topic, such as talking about the team names. I wonder what the Red team are thinking of our team being called Red Tribe. Somebody must have noticed that we're called Red Tribe despite being labelled as Blue, and yet nobody dares mention it for fear of giving anything away!

Another part of me feels freed on the basis that everyone is in the same boat. I'm really tempted by the fact that PMs are allowed in this game. It would be absolutely hilarious to start up a PM circle for every player in the game titled Bladeforce, but it would almost certainly lead to me getting put up for vote on day one.

I do think the tribe names are going to be key in these early phases but it's going to be hard to discuss them publicly in thread without giving away which one is our own.

Pro-Village is presumably a reference to that game where Qikz was getting mocked for using 'pro-village' too much. Which I feel is a reference not many people would remember aside from Drummy/Qikz himself.
EDIT: Just skimmed back through that game and Hypes, Cora, DML and Karl (particularly the latter two) were all bringing it up a lot so I'm more inclined towards it being DML now.

I feel like Tribe Yer Eyes is the most likely to give something away about the person that suggested it and it's giving me sexy gang/Pedz/Albear vibes personally.

Vigilantes really feels like a safe calculated pick that its hard to glean much information from so I'd maybe guess Clarkman/Parksey as they both play quite carefully? Or perhaps they're all just intentionally the opposite to how people normally play.

I think I might start a conversation rolling in thread about the names once I've decided what our name says about us aside from a desire to be intentionally annoying to other players :slol:

No votes for a suspect yet with a 2pm deadline.

Worth being alert just in case one of us gets put up. I'm happy to see it left until last minute, could be fun!

Thanks for the pm, Nun.

So I’ve read the rules three times now and I’m still none the wiser. Hopefully I’ll pick it up as we go. Until then, I’ll just do as I’m told!

(Also checked thrice which thread I’m posting in before I hit submit…)

No worries.

I think the essential premise is that there's 4 mafia teams.

And we get points if we can deduct who is on which team. This deduction is occurring instead of a daily lynch today so we need to pick somebody and guess which tribe they're a part of.

To explain how the second stage of the voting (INTERROGATION) / points work. Assuming Chris remains in the firing line today.
The first three examples show the winning vote, gaining both a majority of votes and that majority correctly identifying Red Tribe.

Example One
Drummy is the only person to vote. The vote is successful (he identifies Chris as Red Tribe).
Pro-Village - 1 vote
TRIBE YER EYES MATE - 0 votes
Red Tribe - 0 votes
Vigilantes - 0 votes

Outcome is 1 point for Pro-Village. Everyone knows Chris is Red Tribe as the vote was successful, but as only Drummy voted, everyone also knows that Drummy is Pro-Village.

Example Two
Drummy correctly identifies, as does another player from another team. 2 votes is enough for a majority

Pro-Village - 1 vote
TRIBE YER EYES MATE - 1 votes
Red Tribe - 0 votes
Vigilantes - 0 votes

Everyone knows that Chris is Red Tribe, but we also know that Drummy and the other player are split between Pro-Village and TRIBE YER EYES MATE.
In addition to this, Pro-Village and TRIBE YER EYES MATE know the identity of the other player who voted, as they know who their successful vote was placed by.

Example Three
Votes are evenly split with 2 from each team. The vote gets a majority.
Pro-Village - 2 vote
TRIBE YER EYES MATE - 2 votes
Red Tribe - 2 votes
Vigilantes - 2 votes

In this scenario, everyone knows the splits of players, but can not determine who is who from this vote alone, but can determine a 2-2-2-2 split, which could be useful later in the game when more identities are known, but not so useful just now.
Everyone knows Chris belongs to our Tribe.

Example Four

As per Example Three, but on this occasion there an alternative vote got the majority (9 people voted for TRIBE YER EYES MATE).
Pro-Village - 2 vote
TRIBE YER EYES MATE - 2 votes
Red Tribe - 2 votes
Vigilantes - 2 votes

Nobody gets any points. All that is discovered is that Chris does not belong to TRIBE YER EYES MATE

Hope that helps!

Should I risk exposing myself by presenting another random for the chop?

No! It would give your identity away. The next stage of the vote we can fix without putting ourselves at risk.

Hey, just a gentle reminder that if we all post in the thread at least once a day for 2/3 days in a row then our tribe gets some cool powers to use.

I think you're the last person left to make a post for today, don't feel obliged to vote in the ballot if you would rather post something later but I just thought I would mention it if you're about!

We're also chatting mostly on WhatsApp so feel free to reach out to Cora if that's something you might fancy :toot:

Well done team. Really tough day, but we made it through unharmed and I think we kept it entertaining too. :toot:

We've got to have some fun with it too though, right?! As it turned out, your vote for us does help somewhat as spreading votes is key longer term and we've been held back from doing that today. I think this shows that it's going to be tough to rig the votes in this format. At least we know what we're up against for future votes.

Another team on the ballot tomorrow please!

We've actually managed to spread it quite well across all four teams and somehow walked away unscathed, so I think we should consider that a huge win.
