You don't have to think, you just go with the default.

The hosting provider thing is just who is supplying the content to you, you are not hosting anything.

Think I've gotta get off X now. Nintendo severing the link made me nuke my game posts account, but I've still been using my regular account despite Musk being Musk. There's so many accounts I follow on there that aren't anywhere else: for interesting political content and comment (particularly in the run up to the GE), amusing football stuff, and gaming oddities. But, enough is enough.

I'll not nuke my account (yet, anyway) but I've uninstalled the app on my phone and am instead hoping to use BlueSky more often.

Could everyone share interesting accounts they follow on BlueSky, here? Whenever I log on, it's a ghost town compared to Twitter. And a lot of that is Twi- sorry, "X", pushing content at me I don't want, but most of it is still the accounts I chose to follow. I want to build up BlueSky to be like that too, but at the moment, there's only so many times I can read DarkRula's posts.

I tried Bluesky but didn't get on with it. I understand they've added some things, but it was off putting to not have videos/gifs/DMs. It also didn't have a decent "trending" section, so wasn't easy to find breaking news etc. And a lot of the people I enjoy following aren't or weren't on there.

And one of the biggest problems was that we can't add a post (what are tweets called on there?) onto GrCAdE.

I hope it succeeds and kills off Musk's platform, but it has a long way to go before it's a proper replacement.

Can't help you with anything new to follow, since it pretty much is just GR folk (unless you want your timeline bombarded with Hookshot Media articles). Don't think I've really looked for anything new to follow since first joining Bluesky.

As for not being able to directly include posts here... Maybe with the migration. Doubt phpBB have much reason to create a specific Bluesky tag. Although, if this post on the Bluesky blog is any indication, we just need the HTML tag active. Which... yeah. Let's not.
