I got an invite sent to my parents house when I was at uni. Specifically to me, not anyone else in the house. For Couple's Come Dine With Me. I was single.

Channel 4 trolling you about being single, harsh!

Also we clearly need GORBO 2: GORB HARDER

Baking is definitely a different story to be fair, I always preheat in those cases.

Baking is a science, cooking is an art. The former relies heavily on a very specific core that shouldn't be messed with, the latter just gets better the more you learn to go loose, gain in confidence and start doing your own thing

 I was waiting for someone to pick up on that!

Baking has less margin for error. Also my housemate was helping me/telling me what to do :P

Precisely why I love baking and hate cooking. I have absolutely no concept of flavour profiles and how best to prepare this or that so I can't freewheel it for toffee, but I can follow a rigid set of instructions like nobody's business!

My wife doesnt understand thermostats or anything like that so I set the thermostat low so even when she does run the heating all day its not turning the house into a furnace. It also means when she puts it on and its not actually cold the heating wont come on and she thinks the whole thing is broken. :shifty:

I do that, but it's because if you let the timer reach zero then the microwave beeps for 10 seconds even if you open the door. Stop it at 1 second and no annoying beeps.

A mate of mine has an IFTTT rule setup so when his Mrs puts thr heating up it turns it back to what he wants it to be.
