I think they should have done it now with 25 rather than wheeling out Craig one more time.

I actually thought Dalton was great AS Bond. His version seemed to be the most serious and had the least amount of smarm to it. I might actually consider him my favourite Bond in terms of how he portrayed the character.

The films he did were actually not bad either.

David Niven was the best James Bond.

Just kidding, I actually don't mind Dalton - he never really got the chance he deserved.

Dalton was miles ahead of his time. Both of his movies are fantastic.

Dalton is great, although at times it feels like his interpretation of the character is at odds with what the script or director were trying to do. There's an odd Jekyll and Hyde feel to his films at times where some of the time they go for a more grounded and gritty approach (which works well) and others they feel afraid to let go of some of the lighter and more foolish aspects that the series had developed up to that point.

That's always been the key to the Bond formula for me, get the balance right between the character being a brutal, efficient blunt instrument and a witty womaniser who deals with everything with a wink and a wry smile and you're on to a winner. For me only Connery ever really nailed that, and even then only in a handful of his movies.

Rami Malek lined up as Bond 25 villain after Oscars win. Fresh from his Academy Award win for Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek is set to sign up as the lead villain in Bond 25, the much-delayed new 007 film that is due to be Daniel Craig's last outing in the role.

Despite being an "unconventional" looking bloke, Rami would have the honour of being the first Bond villain who is unquestionably more attractive than Bond himself.

Mads has got something true, but Craig was actually a decent looker back then!

Now he looks how someone who consumes the amount that Bond does genuinely would look.

I agree. The ludicrous Casino Royal 'heart' scene and the bizarre 'bollocks whipping' scene from whichever that one was, have made them farcical and unwatchable for me. They're not really Bond films anymore, they're just poorly scripted action films, with little atmosphere or suspense.

The most ludicrous scene in Casino Royale was the ridiculous poker scene. Ruined the entire film for me.

Casino Royale is so much better and involved than a poorly scripted action film.

The heart attack also leads to the best Bond quip of the film so is utterly worth it

Of course they are! The older Bonds are fantasy spy thrillers that have more in common with pure sci-fi films than something like Bourne. The new films layered a veneer of realism over the whole thing but they're still ridiculous.

The early Connery films were solid gold classics.

Roger Moore was the good kind of bad.

Daniel Craig has, for the most part, been the bad kind of good.
