Anyone in the north west (of England, obv) should investigate Victor Wright Electronics in Bury. It's "arranged" like a bomb went off in the store room but there's loads there for all formats. Well worth a visit.

Sounds a bit like X-electrical in Croydon.

Well worth a look if you're ever in the area.

(Pro-tip - avoid Croydon)

I bought The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Gamecube) for £2.50 at a bootsale once. Still not played it so it's probably broken or some gooseberry fool for me to have gotten it at that price!

Haha I bought the first one for a quid then I was walking round and saw someone selling 4 DC games including sonic adventure for £3 which was alright because the one I bought for £1 didn't have instructions.

Im not a raving sonic fanboy lol

Weirdly I'm envious of the Master System controllers, they're quite uncommon and pricey for what they are on ebay. You need them to play certain SMS games though, annoying as the Mega Drive controller works for the vast majority!

I can get more master system controllers at £2 from this guy whos at the boot sale every week just let me know if you want me to pick some up for you and ill send em down to you as long as you cover the postage shouldn't be more than £5 for 2 controllers and P&P.

As for the SFC Suzz I think I was quite lucky to get mine from eBay for £45 boxed but it was missing a actual famicom controller it was just a SNES one but I managed to grab a SFC one for 1p with £7 postage.

Gonna pick up Tetris Battle Gaiden soon, saw it unboxed for something like £4. Best version of Tetris ever.

Woop new package waiting for me when I got home tonight

Not bad for £35 quid I'd say, the boxed games are complete with instructions too. Space Station Silicon Valley

Also its NTSC and has had the flaps taken out to run jap games, which also leads to the potential of having the console RGB modified for greater picture.

Only thing is the joypad is battered so that will need to be replaced but I do have some 3rd party replacement thumbsticks on the way.

Nice one on getting an NTSC unit, I want to get an American NES/N64 down the line. Especially good for the N64 as I understand you can't get anything better than composite on it. Old 3D games look bad enough as it is on a HDTV!

Jazz thats not strictly true, I posted this in the N64 picture thread:

I just bought a N64 off ebay (ntsc/jap) and the supplied component lead to a very poor picture practically unplayable. Heavily saturated colours and so bright the castle in mario 64 was impossible to make out each section. I was about to send it back as I thought it was faulty but I thought to myself since some one has taken the time to convert the machine to play jap games they might of also done the RGB mod too with it been a US machine so I took a gamble and ordered a £4.50 RGB cable to see if this sorted the problem.

strawberry float me is all I can say! absolutely stunning picture crystal clear and running full screen and full speed. I have only played PAL nintendo 64 before and even then that was some time ago but even now I can tell the difference in speed and its like playing the games again for the first time.

To sum this up, yeah you can RGB mod a N64 but it has to be a early US or Jap model but it does work and it is worth the effort.

looks alright on a HDTV:

Composite cable
