Maybe a solid 120fps mode (if that's even possible) and absolutely zero loading screens.

I mean if PS5 is next year you can almost guarantee a game of the year edition on that.

I'd imagine so as I doubt it would be all that hard to make as they'll just chuck in as many of the higher PC settings as the next gen can handle.

Does anyone else find it REALLY hard to see what's going on in some missions? I've just done the one in Jack's estate for example where it's quite dark there, and a lot of the time I can't see a thing and have no idea what's going on so i'm just following the green loot boxes and waiting for some strawberry floater I can't see to start shooting me. I've tried playing with the brightness loads too but it's just not helped at all for whatever reason.

I haven't had any problems, but then I'm playing with the HDR mode on.

I thought that was just my super shitty eyes playing tricks on me but it's heartening to see someone else have this problem.
It's like everything just smooshes together into a confusing mess and I have no idea what the hell is going on which isn't really all that helpful when stuff is shooting you from all angles.

I’ve tried it with and without and it’s not any clearer for me to be honest. As much as I’m enjoying the game, when I get to a new planet and it’s not the typical desert stuff you’re used to with Borderlands then I just want it over and done with as I can’t see gooseberry fool!

I'm also finding it hard to make out enemies, especially in urban environments at night. This is on a 65" 4k tv with HDR on too :dread: In a lot of fights I end up shooting at my pet more than anything.

I don't know what to say, tbh.

I used the in-game brightness option to the max, and switched on the HDR. But then, I adjusted the TV brightness settings and saved that setting, and adjusted the contrast until its really bright and saved that as a different tv brightness slot while I was playing Man of Medan and found it to be more easier to see so I defaulted it as a my HDR games setting.

To be fair I've not changed the in game brightness settings beyond the basic hdr calibration at the start.

Maybe the HDR is messing with something.

I just have a regular ass computer monitor and don't have any problems with brightness.

Had good fun playing with Pete and Joer earlier anyway :)

I'm enjoying playing this with Fade and now Joer but can only manage it in fairly short bursts due to it being a rather riotous melange of colour.

It's like a less frustrating Destiny game with no resources.

Starting to get the feeling this game is just either too big or too long. I'm level 32 now and struggling to find the motivation to keep going when all the maps are so big and just lead onto more equally large maps where you're just doing more of the same -- shooting and looting which is to be expected obviously.

Literally no idea how people online are managing to have completed multiple playthroughs already with multiple lvl 50 characters.

Also needs more fast travel points.

Level 35 with the Gunner.

Was dreading any boss fights after Anointed Billy, but so far it’s relatively not bad.

Took down the second vault monster relatively easy. Now back in Pandora and did the side quest with the new Mouthpiece. Took him down easily.

Bet you the next boss will be hard.

Anointed billy can strawberry float right off. I am playing siren who has skill to get free second wind without kill or ally revive. It was essential for that fight. I have found the bosses in this to be much grindier than previous ones. Have you fought grave mind? That took forever to whittle it’s health down and the cheap mechanic of tilting the floor. I died a few times falling off and had to start over :x but they feel very “boss” like on that you learn attack patterns etc

Yeah, I’ve fought Gravewind. I noticed when Gravewind show his second face, I rushed over to the hole on the sides and stayed there until the platform is flat again. Sometimes it’ll launch me up the air for some reason.

The game frozen and crashed just before the Gravewind battle, as I was battling the two guardians of the vault. I was just coming out of the Iron Bear, Moze/Gunner’s mech and disappeared down through the floor and fallen. Was expecting myself to be resurrected but as I reached the “bottom,” the game frozen then crashed.

The Gunner is an absolutely beast now, since I’ve got the ability that gives me infinite ammo and coupled that with my Voldolf assault rifle, which seems never see the ammo counter drop by even one, which makes Gravewind a bit easy, especially if my shields get shattered to 0, transform into the Iron Bear mech and stay there for a wee while dishing out damage (even though Gravewind is immune to ice and fire attacks) and she’ll come out of the mech with full shield power.

Gravewind is much easier boss as he/she doesn’t move around the arena.

So I’ve just finished the story. I love the gameplay improvements in this but felt the story was pretty meh compared to the last game. The calypsos are a poor mans handsome jack (was always going to be tough to match him) and I wasn’t happy with the sudden abundance of sirens. The new characters weren’t especially memorable and the old ones were short changed badly.

The whole tannis is a siren thing was weird, felt completely show horned in and out of character for how she was in previous games. Ava was a bland annoying child character whom I’m hoping they aren’t setting up for main role in sequels. I thought there were only supposed to be 7 sirens at any given time and they are all female and yet here the game shows 6 including Troy and that is not counting Angel and Steele from previous games who would have been alive when these characters were

But yeah still love the gameplay!! Can’t wait to try another vault hunter. Thinking Flynn next since I rarely use grenades and having two action skills seems like a great way to make awesome combos.

Me and the wife had another split screen evening of playing this, getting to and opening the first vault. Shortly after, on the next planet all of the sound disappeared yet the menus all still had sounds :|

I think I’m nearly end of the main storyline.

Whew! That Troy is a tough bastard but managed to finish him off.

Then I couldn’t believe it when I saw cutscene.

Borderlands 3 logo appears... To be continued in 4. I was raging then it counts down. Well played Gearbox.

Level 40 with Moze/The Gunner.

Bit annoyed that I had to go through most of the late story missions and every enemy is nearly 10 levels below me and only grand me 1-3XP.

Now you have access to mayhem mode that should help make it tougher
