Quiet thread given that this is quite a big release only a few days ago.

...is it bad?

It's very good. Fade and I are slowly doing a co-op run through the story mode and we're at level 12 so you could join us if you want.

The gameplay is good and the lack of resource gathering is a blessing and just points out how tedious that aspect of Destiny is.

It's amazing. Completed the story last night and it was a masterpiece, I've played about 35 hours since launch.....

Finished level 40, and now doing some of the side missions I missed in Mayhem Mode Level 1 to get upto Level 50. Then I'll go up through the Mayhem levels before doing True Vault Hunter Mode.

The ending was a bit iffy for me. Felt a bit like an episode of Doctor Who.

Also quite disappointed at how most of the older charat got the shaft and some were just straight up not even mentioned.

I'll be honest the ending was a little meh and for a final boss I found it probably the easiest out of everyone in the game.

Gearbox did say that not every character from previous games would feature in the main story, they've said that some of the missing ones might turn up in future DLC packs though.

I've not tried Mayhem level 3 yet but a few friends who are farming it are getting 5-6 legendaries per a boss

I liked the final boss, I agree it was quite easy but I think that's a good thing. There are so many games I never finished because the decided to make the last boss annoyingly hard. It was still a really fun fight.

I don't particularly care about the missing BL2 characters but I really hope they feature some of the Tales ones.

Need far more Tiny Tina as well!

So I got this.

My first proper Borderlands game. The only one I played was Tales from the Borderlands, and it was great seeing an old face.

I think the humour could make this game ace for me.

Do you have to play this with other people to get the most out of it, or is it still great in single player?

If it's anything like the first two, it'll be fine.

...I've never actually played a Borderlands with other people before :/

I’ve clocked somewhere in the region of 600hrs across the borderland series and of that I’ve played about 5 in multiplayer! I imagine it would be amazing with friends and chat but as a single player it’s perfectly ace! You might not be able to partake in end game raids but really that’s only a small amount of content

Are any of you on PS4? Me and Pete are playing through together at the moment. Would be cool to get 4 people together.

Anyways I've finally reached level 50.

Pro tip: apparently at launch the xp bonus for mayhem mode level 3 was +900% and they reduced it by hotfixing the game.

So, if you set your console to offline, turn mayhem 3 and then run a dungeon a few times you level up really quickly. It was taking me forever otherwise.

I'm up for it at some point. Think i'm currently at about level 22 so quite some way behind you I imagine. No idea how far along in the story I am but i've just (approx 10 hours in spoilers) done my first vault and witnessed Maya being killed..

Really enjoying it though. It's just classic Borderlands which is great.

How many of those sales were PC though?

Man, I love this game.

One problem about being deaf, is that it's hard to read subtitles where the action is fast and furious as I was more focused on killing than reading the subtitles. Oh well.

Moze (the Gunner) is such a cool character. Perhaps I will do another playthrough when I've finished this as the Beastmaster looks intruging.

The resolution setting performance :dread: :dread: :dread: :dread: Had to change to frame rate eventually, it was making the battles so tough to hit anyone (I'm used to pc gaming on a 144hz gsync monitor these days).

Anyway, enjoying it so far. Just hit level 5 and unlocked the catch a ride station.

Opened up my first Vault. Maybe I would upgrade my backpack for all those rare weapons popping up! :slol:

I’m thinking of getting the other Borderlands games for the PS4 after I’m done with this.

I wonder how this'll be upgraded for any next gen remaster as the graphical style means that it doesn't really need visual improvement.
Maybe a solid 120fps mode (if that's even possible) and absolutely zero loading screens.
