I know that feeling, I don’t buy many games at full price any more (only first party Ninty games I get at launch these days) but as soon as I see something going on sale for a decent price I’ll snap it up

It's made worse with the fact I own RE2 on PS4 and Steam already and Yooka Laylee also owned on Steam

Finished Resident Evil 5 and the Lost In Nightmares DLC. Kind of happy I didn't splurge on it for the Switch felt like a right slog.

Was looking through that backlog and I think bought Dragon Quest IX in 2011, I still haven't played it

Death Stranding story completed, just a shitload of grinding to get the platinum.

Also bought Deadpool (PS3.) Might play it along with the grinding for Death Stranding.

I went a bit mad and got the two new hitman games, a couple of the older ones I was missing and all the dlc for Panzer Corps on pc.

Picked myself up Bloodstained and the new Yooka Laylee in the sales for a combined 30ish. Very pleased with the prices.

This will very likely be my final list of the year, started playing SotTR last night but that will take me into next year now. Overall it’s been a good year, played some great games but I have spent way too much on buying games that I have not touched.

Going into 2020 I’m planning on limiting my game spending significantly. A lot of the big releases I can wait until they all drop in price to under £20, the only games I will consider buying day one will be the Nintendo exclusives like Zelda. I have so much in my library that I want to play through that will take hours to beat will keep me busy next year.

I have the same intention. With around 20 games in the backlog (at least 15 of which I have the intention of playing), I have no excuse not to wait for the inevitable PS4 sub-20 price drops. With Switch titles, you can't justify the wait in the same way, but it's only No More Heroes 3 and Animal Crossing that I'll be getting atm.
