Upgraded to an ASP explorer! Cost a bomb and I have no cash left to upgrade it yet but it's one for the future! I'm trying my hand at Taxi missions now, long but profitable!

I’ve hit 1.5m credits in my Cobra, such a profitable little machine

Kitted it out with some decent weapons and armour, just in case anyone wants to try and steal my cargo

I also cracked a million today :toot:

1.5 seems like a good spot to also buy some better bits. Been having some cargo missions offer bonuses for taking out pirates on the way so it would be nice to have better systems in place for when I get attacked.

Would also be good to have a dedicated combat ship, find an area with high conflict and bounties, then do a bit of bounty hunting without risking the cobra. Will need serious combat training before that though as I'd be gooseberry fool if I tried a dogfight now.

Picked this up on PC today. So far not really that impressed, obviously one day isn't anywhere near enough time to digest a game of this scope so I'll put in more hours on it. Does come across as tedious though, landing, planets are basically blank canvasses, missions are mostly go fetch quests.

Just hope it isn't yet another empty sandbox game.

I was quite keen on mining but this thread has put me off, I'll keep being a Fedex dude then with the occasional bounty hunting thrown in.

Mining looks cool, and feels awesome for a bit, but it can take hours to get enough material together for the mission for not a lot of money, when you could have run 10 deliveries in that time and made a lot.

Off work and settling in for a long stretch only to find servers are down all day

But it seems in preparation for the patch that adds the alien threat thargoids. Should be interesting.

I'm hoping the new patch gives some life to this game. I did purchase this the other day with one eye on this 2.4 patch.

Any idea when the servers will be back up? Hope to get back on this later.

When it died on me mid game at 9am today it said 7 hours, though could be more. I'm hoping less.

Urrgh don't like what the patch has done to missions and the rewards. They have massively nerfed bonus rewards on all missions. Now if you want over 500k credits you have to travel 20k light years!!! Or if you do local drops you get between 10-50k :| the grind just got million times worse

I guess it's more realistic, never understood why they would pay you 100k credits to move 2k worth of product 1 star system over.

But it is a real pain for gathering money from courier drops, unless you take a load and link their routes. I'm finding doing lengthy 1mil credit sightseeing tours to be a fairly decent way to earn a bit of dosh. My ship is set up for long range!

This is strange, just a few pages ago fatdaz was saying the game's a huge disappointment and now is complaining about patch changes alongside Ad7

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

It's like gaming Stockholm syndrome.

Played this tonight for the first time since the recent update and I can’t really see much difference in the amount of money to be made from the more basic and prosaic delivery missions, I still managed to pull in a few hundred thousand credits in an hour. The mission lists, particularly those in the large stations, do seem far more populated, which is good as it gives more options for varied missions.

I got bored of waiting for this to pop up another PSN sale so spunked out the best part of £35 on a digital copy of it this morning.

Welcome to the frontier, commander :toot:

I probably won't be able to get on this evening but at some point it would be cool to have a GRcade galaxy meet up for those of us on PS4? Maybe at Uranus.

We could compare the size of our vessels :shifty:
