There are certain brands that have a track record of making stuff I like, and I might do less research before buying their next thing. Is that brand loyalty? It feels like it's somewhere on that spectrum maybe.

(Yes, I'm thinking of Nintendo )
Same for me. Certain companies make things I know I'll like, so I jump straight in.
I’m 42 and have had all the consoles and over time that’s whittled itself down to 2. The Xbox and the Switch. I was ‘loyal’ to Xbox 360 no doubt about it, all my friends were there, it pioneered and built on it’s mp online stuff and apart from everyone RROD’ing it was a great console.
The Xbox One release console has been great for me but the reality is, it’s very under powered and the disastrous launch coupled with Kinect was a major miss step. As the exclusives started to come out it got progressively worse. I loved Halo 5 especially the MP but with MCC being a disaster it became apparent that this console is going to take a hammering.
The most passionate ive been to any ‘brand’ was Nintendo, until Halo CE I was a major Nintendo fan boy but my gaming tastes have changed. Contrary to popular belief, the main reason I only have one main console over the other is because of cost, were my friends are and I do like MS’s exclusives.
For years I seen what the PS4 and Sony were doing and I was the ivemadeahugemistake.gif guy. I have no interest in sales or figures or numbers at all, I’m baffled by gamers who are to be honest, PS4 simply has been the better console with the best exclusives. There’s no argument to be had about that at all.
When Phil took over Xbox I was happy because he seems to be passionate about gaming but what Xbox as a team has done since he took over is genuinely exciting. He’s overseen the backwards compatible team, 2 new console revisions, Gamepass and several Studio acquisitions. As console CEO’s go it’s hard to argue against he’s rarely put a foot wrong bad some games being cancelled but they were started under a different ethos.
If Xbox had not changed all these things at all I’d have left it for PS5, easily, but with the advent of Xcloud coupled with Gamepass (it’s honestly amazing), that dedicated BC team, all these great studios and a new console incoming. For the first time in about 8 years I think I will be ‘loyal’ for at least the next generation.
TL;DR I used to be loyal to Nintendo, then Xbox but with age loyalty wained but kinda like Xbox again.
I have no brand loyalty to anything else, no loyalty to phone/car manufacturers.

Some carriers are far worse than others, US carriers are especially bad for comfort, if you're flying long haul flights and the prices aren't too drastically different I will avoid one over the other.
Then there's safety as well, I wouldn't really want to fly on a Russian plane.

Aside from two flights (one where I was upgraded to business class) my experience with BA has been middling to poor and expensive. The same with other airlines. I've never had a bad experience with KLM, both in terms of flights and customer services. And I tend to find they've had the cheapest flights. Combine all that together and KLM will be my go to airline. The only other airline that I've had a great experience with was China Airlines.
