I knew I couldn't kill him as I only had a pistol and he has three health. I did attempt to mention this to him earlier and hope he'd fire elsewhere instead, but no success. Me and T-Mag were working together for the majority of the early game until he accidentally sent me a PM meant for a group of people he was colluding with that said he'd targeted me with a sniper rifle and regretted it.

I shot at Vermilion as he had body armour and I wanted to level the playing field. Simple as.
