Not ganging up on him. But he shouldn't be moaning about spoiler boxes/inline spoilers.

It only take a few seconds to click/highlight them.

It wouldn't be the same for new fans who started watching it and want to express how brilliant it is, only to see the last couple of episodes revealed to them.

In short, stop being lazy. Or create a spoilers thread yourself.

Yeah but he got the exact opposite response in another thread, it seems.

The only problem I have with spoilers is too many are done in the "inline" fashion. That's frustrating to read when using a phone compared to the drop down spoiler ones.

Just click quote to read them.

Reading a page of this thread would take AGES doing that.

I don't care, spoiler boxes and what not are fine, especially if people come in here to get the vibe of the episode before watching it. I had to wait a few days to watch one of the episodes, so came in here not for spoilers but just to see the general reaction of the episode to hype myself up.

The Breaking Bad spinoff is happening: ‘Breaking Bad’ Saul Goodman Spinoff A Go At AMC, Will Serve As Prequel To Original

Breaking Bad‘s Saul Goodman will live on at AMC. After lengthy negotiations, the cable network and Breaking Bad producer Sony Pictures TV have reached a licensing agreement for a spinoff from Vince Gilligan‘s acclaimed drama series. The spinoff series, tentatively titled Better Call Saul, had been in the works for months. It centers on one of Breaking Bad‘s most recognizable supporting characters, Bob Odenkirk‘s unflappable criminal lawyer Saul Goodman. Conceived by Breaking Bad creator Gilligan and series writer-producer Peter Gould, who created the Saul character together for a Season 2 episode written by Gould, the spinoff will be be a one-hour prequel that will focus on the evolution of the Goodman character before he ever became Walter White’s lawyer, AMC said. The network wouldn’t elaborate on the project’s status, but I’ve learned Better Call Saul has a series order pending the complication of Sony TV’s deals with Gilligan, Gould and Odenkirk. The pact between AMC and Sony TV came after talks between the two sides came down to the wire, with other outlets, including Netflix, which has had huge success with Breaking Bad, very interested in snatching the spinoff series.

It could be fantastic. I'm cautiously optimistic.

That's hardly ideal is it? It's pretty inconvenient.

The whole thing is just a botch - I mean, who exactly are we doing it for? I never go into this thread unless I'm up to speed and I dare say that's the same for a great majority.

I can't see it having the same level of grit as BB. It'll be more of a prime time affair, I'm betting.

It's showing consideration for those who arnt up to date or may have a question.

Say someone comes in here to ask how many episodes are left and are met withLOL ENDING SPOILERS LOL U SHOUDNT BE IN HERE ANYWAY YOU banana split.

Just use spoilers and don't risk ruining something very special for someone just because you're up to date.

Everybody's argument for spoiler tags can also be applied to the Peep Show thread.

Come on, people, make up your minds - what's the consensus?

If someone comes in here and reads megaspoilers they get no sympathy, but its such little hassle to put stuff in spoilerboxes why not do it.

I don't go into Peep Show thread but I've seen a few not using spoiler box/inline spoilers tags in Game of Thrones thread.

You have to admit that those who wonder "what's breaking bad?" and click through it and saw all the praise it get then all the major events aren't in spoiler tags. It's hard to go "oh gooseberry fool" if you know what's happening next.

Like the Khan thing in the new Star Trek. Someone spoiled it in person and that somehow make the film lost its impact a bit.

The annoying thing about spoiler tags is that they're very difficult to read when you're reading the forum on a phone.

Hasn't EG posted book spoilers in the GoT thread despite it being perfectly clear that in that thread, all posts should be written as if the books don't even exist.

I agree that it's a stupid idea to come into the thread when you know you've not caught up, but I don't want to be the person to ruin a show of this brilliance for anyone. If people are wanting to ask a question about a show, take it to the US TV thread but it's not really any bother to put stuff in spoiler boxes too.
