JESUS CHRIST MARIE!

Anyone else think that was put in on purpose for the comic makers?

Absolutely. Well not strictly for the comic makers, but as a sign that the writers are aware of the viral humour that surrounds the series.

Jesus

I was also expecting Jesse to die in this episode because of a troll on the torrent sites, increased the tension tenfold.

Hurry up next week.

So was I for some strange reason, and I hadn't read anything before watching.

I thought Jesse accidently smoked the ricin cig. :fp:

I still laugh after Sual's "fingers like hot dogs" line a while back.

Also (spoiler for this week's episode)

Brock got sick, Jesse noticed his ricin cigarette was missing and confronted Walt about it at gunpoint. Walt managed to convince him that it must have been Gus and one of his men who stole the ricin and poisoned Brock with it, which led to the whole putting a bomb on his car at the hospital thing.

It ties in with Jesse's plea to Walt to stop working him in today's episode.

I love the idea of Walt Jr walking in, great way for him to find out what's going on.

Fortunately for me, I've been watching season 4 and the beginning of season 5 with my girlfriend recently in an attempt to get her up to speed with where we're at now, so the ricin bits I'd forgotten are now fresh in my head.

As far as I know, I'm right on this -

Walt had Huell lift the ricin from Jesse's pack of cigarettes for him and kept it himself. He then either poisoned Brock, or got Saul to do so, with Lilly of the Valley. The Lilly has similar flu-like symptoms to the ricin so it made Jesse think that Brock was poisoned with ricin by Walt. This was Walt's plan as he needed Jesse to confront him so he could sell him the story about Gus getting the ricin cigarette to drive a wedge between them. So that put Jesse back on Walt's side to finish off Gus.

After that, Jesse finds out that it was Lilly of the Valley so thinks he still has the ricin cigarette somewhere. Walt then duplicates the ricin cig but with some other powder and "finds" the phony one in Jesse's vacuum cleaner robot thing. He then disposes of this cig so that Jesse thinks the ricin is gone, but Walt's actually removed the vial from the original cig and put it behind a plug socket in his house (which he goes back for in the flash-forward in S05E08).

In the most recent episode, when Jesse realises Huell swiped his weed from him, (fresh off his spat with Walt about Walt always playing him) he puts two and two together and realises Huell must've done the same with the ricin.

That's what I've gleaned from it all, anyway.

Is it tenuous that Jesse figured that out?

I thought so.

I don't think so. He originally thought it was Huell who had stole it under Walt's orders, but then Walt convinced him it was Gus. Huell stealing the weed in this episode made him realise he was right all along and Walt had been playing him.

Did Jesse actually say that he thought Huell had done it?

Vince Gilligan was quoted as saying something like, Walt snuck into his school and gave it to him in a juice box. Pretty flamboyant stuff.

In the scene where Sual's secretary is shredding everything in his office, pause the video and have a look at what she's shredding.. school time tables for one student in particular ;)

I don't think any one was, but going back it proves that Vince's story stands up and there isn't a plot hole. I was surprised to hear about it, I honestly thought he fabricated that plot on the spot.
