This is a UK forum and Peep Show is broadcast on a UK TV channel which is where the vast majority of forumites are going to watch it. Breaking Bad is on Netflix which doesn't have a set schedule.

Still, the prevailing argument seemed to be "don't enter unless you've seen it". Most people see the latest BB episode within a fairly tight window too.

Also, the overwhelming reason people post there is to discuss the latest episode. The few posts that are not directly about the most recent episode (the barrel box-set, for instance) - the author is likely to have watched said episode anyway.

It's just inconveniencing a large majority unnecessarily - for a tiny minority.

Also, I'd question why you'd even want to come into this thread without having seen the latest episode. I certainly don't.

After the second episode aired, I clicked on this thread before I'd seen it. It was unintentional- I was clicking an one of my regular threads and didn't connect a new post with a new episode, despite being well aware that one was due. Luckily, I realised and hit back before I saw something, but I find it reassuring to know that if I hadn't realised, the courteousness of others putting spoiler tags around their posts would have saved me.

In the end, I'd rather endure an incredibly minor inconvenience than risk having the show spoiled for me, or spoiling it for someone else.

Statistically speaking, using spoilers in case someone accidentally opens the thread prematurely is like banning cars in case someone gets run over. gooseberry fool happens, I don't think that warrants all these annoying spoiler blocks.

If you don't like it Earl, then stay out of the thread (lol irony!) or stop whining.

What if someone is starting Breaking Bad and they want to express their thoughts? This show is best experienced for themselves.

Go away and stop being a bitch.

I know I certainly won't come in this thread until i've seen the latest episode. And thankfully, I usually watch the latest episode at about 9am so never need to wait too long.

This is what I was thinking too, but Hank and Stephen can't shoot either. Utterly strawberry floating ridiculous that no one got hit, particularly as the DEA were standing out in the open.

Given that the gang finished off the previous cooking gang with ease but can't even get one hit on people out in the open is just totally unrealistic.

I had a dream the night after I watched it that there was a 2nd episode right after that I watched the first 5 minutes of. When it started, basically everyone on both sides had been hit and wounded. But then I stopped watching it and decided to save it for next week. Dreams. :x

Nice one, boys...

Why enter the thread if you havent seen the latest episode?

Cuttooth wrote:You expect everyone to spoiler everything when watching it live or just after it's been on TV, when the majority of us would have watched it that way?

Just so you can come into a thread and see if people think it's better than the last episode when you could, y'know, just watch the thing and judge for yourself?

It's common practice to put spoilers in boxes, not comments on an episode that's already aired.

Watch the strawberry floating show then, dipshit.

Seriously, you guys. What a bunch of hypocritical bastards. Go and strawberry float yourselves you bunch of vicious little gooseberry fools. Obviously you're just being banana splits over this because of who I am.

Apparently spoilers are fine if they piss me off - otherwise they're a big no-no. You're clearly all just clubbing together just because you don't like me personally. I mean just look at the double standard here.

The whole "UK show" thing is just a red herring - everyone is downloading the show and watching it Mondays anyway. If they're not, then strawberry float them - they should stay out of the thread.

I made a perfectly good argument and I get abuse.

I agree with Earl. If you haven't seen the latest ep, stay out of the thread.

Surely there is no-one who gets as far as 00:01 on Tuesday without having seen it?

Jesus Christ EG, would you please just chill out?

Why on Earth are you getting so worked up about spoiler boxes? It really isn't very hard to highlight a line of text or click once to see what someone has said. Most people will be watching the show on Netflix and that means they will be watching at their own leisure. I agree that it's daft for anyone to come in the thread before being caught up, but occasionally someone might be a show behind and come in the thread forgetting an episode is out, it just saves them from spoilers. It really doesn't compare with Peep Show as Peep Show was being broadcast at a specific time on a specific day and it's a sitcom, not a narrative-heavy drama.

Lots of people are watching BB as soon as it's available. Conversely, I'm sure there are plenty of people missing Peep Show's allotted timeslot and watching it on 4OD, Torrent, etc.

Either way, what's wrong with the consensus of staying away until you've watched it. I don't understand why their chosen medium/time of viewing has anything to do with it.

It's a perfectly reasonable argument and people are just being pissy over it because of a personal grudge they have with the person making it.
