Parts of it look cool. Parts of it look worrying. The clip of the bokoblin camp being on top of a stone talus just looked like some zany botw 1 DLC they forgot to include. Though there was a clear distinction where some clips just looked very similar to botw 1 and then some clips were all brand new even including Link's appearance; new hair and clothes, etc. A lot of the world in the clips also looked very empty again. So far not holding my breath of the wild for this one 8^)

Yeah I'm pretty sure in interviews they said the game came out of them having too many good ideas for DLC and deciding to make a sequel instead. Also the stone talus with a camp on it looks great?

I've always been confused by that DLC comment. If they had so many good ideas why did the DLC have so few? :shifty:

Zerudaaaaa! wrote:Great to see this featured in the Direct yesterday. I've been thinking about how Majora's Mask took the foundations laid by Ocarina of Time, reworked them in an unusual way, and ended up being one of the more distinct and memorable titles in the series. It will be interesting to see if a similar approach is taken here.

Yeah, in fact will this game have a time element too?

Because both trailers have featured warped backwards sound samples, and this one has shots of both normal link and Windswept Link, and there's both long haired and short haired Zelda, and that (? crucial) shot of the backwards water droplet. It's cut in the trailer to make it look like it flows into Link squeezing through the underside of that pillar but I'm not so sure it's that simple.

Would also allow this Hyrule to be different to BotW even in the ground, if there's further time based hijinks.

So I guess either time control as a mechanic (a la Braid) or multiple time zones (a la Ocarina) or something?...

Hmmm.

I actually found BotW a bit vanilla in that respect, compared to the usual dualism of Zelda themes/mechanics, so would be cool if something tricksy afoot.

Totally fine with this delay if it allows them to fine tune everything.

Plenty of other games to play in the meantime anyway!

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

It was to be expected, but I'm sure when we see more of it, it will be just as special as the first one.

Can’t believe I actually opted for the Q4 2021 vote

I was weary of the 2022 release date anyway when they announced it

What’s up with the Master Sword though?

It’s really not a bad thing for myself, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet will probably be out in November, Starfield should be out in November too (unless that gets delayed too), those games alone will keep me busy till this comes out in spring next year.

What about when it gets delayed to Q4 2023?

Zelda or Starfield? ;)

If it gets delayed into Q4 that’ll just interfere with the next, almost inevitable Pokémon game
