I would be happy enough with the same world being used. They just need to put new stuff in there, add some caves and dungeons.

When watching it for the first time I said something is happening to the castle, maybe it gets pulled into Lorule, but I saw later it's being pulled upwards, Hence my silly Zelda on Mars post.

Am I the only one slightly disappointed by this if true? I wanted to be taken into a weird dark mirror world, à la MM. Also, Hyrule was gorgeous and impressive first time around: I'm not sure it'll have the same impact a second time, unless it's much more populated.

It could be the same hyrule but “upside down” so gained or something so it is all dark and gooseberry fool but the opposite of the real one if that makes sense.

This is what I’m thinking/hoping, this game will take place in BoTW’s dark version of Hyrule much like in ALTTP.

But for strawberry floats sake, get rid of the wet surfaces when climbing. It's shite.

There seems to a strong theme for undergrounds, something we barely saw in the first. The Hyrule in BotW is built upon generations and generations of history, so there's so much potential to dig deeper. Seeing all the theories behind the figure in the trailer has me hyped. Just having a proper villain would be nice that's all. If this game truly does get darker then I really hope they revisit elements from darker Zelda games too.

Also please bring back Vaati in some shape or form >,> I was so sure we'd see some kind of reference or mention to it in BotW but we got nothin'.

I'm up for this. I'd love to explore a Hyrule post-BotW that's been fully rebuilt. Maybe we start in this rebuilt Hyrule at first, exploring some some sort of dark energy that's rising from the shrines, before getting taken to Hyrule Castle which is then when the trailer stuff starts and we're transported to a new world.

I'm not sure it should be got rid of, maybe tweaked a bit or have something lets you over come the limitation some how.

They could just implement that the upgraded climbing gear doesn’t let you slip in the rain when climbing, this should have been in BoTW after all. This is assuming the various armour sets and upgrades carry over of course.

One thing I wouldn’t mind changing is going back to a permanent set of weapons, or be able to find various weapons/items which don’t break but you can upgrade the damage of, be shock proof etc, so you still have the sense of progression with how much damage your weapons cause but don’t have to worry about your weapons breaking, in BoTW I found it was ok in the latter half but by that point you’re getting more weapons thrown at you than you can carry while on the plateau even the better weapons broke really quickly. I know Skyward Sword had an upgrade mechanic for the weapons and I quite liked it and there is more than enough items to collect they could help upgrade your weapons as well as your armour.

I think the breaking was about right, I was never running out of swords and bows that had good stats, I was always low of shields though that was a bit annoying.

I found it alright in the late game, just thought in the early parts just because a sword had 5 damage doesn’t mean it has to break a load quicker than a sword with 30 odd damage. Didn’t bother me hugely but was slightly annoying in the early areas, a minor gripe for a superb game though.

Can't say I noticed then either but I pretty much always avoided fights where possible

I’d probably have the durability buffed about 10% in favour of being more durable and also introduce a Smithey in the overworld who can repair weapons or with enough upgrade material turn them into Hylian Shield style unbreakable.

I don’t think I’d change anything about the climbing, maybe introduce some kind of natural skill tree possibly with great climbing challenges, like the south east face by Lurelin. Doing these and climbing a lot throughout the overworld would eventually trigger some kind of NPC interaction with an Selmy style expert climber who would buff your climbing gloves maybe, reducing the stamina cost of climbing.

Wait, the hylian shield was unbreakable?! I barely used it because I didn't want it to break and be lost :fp:

I thought it was breakable but just had really high durability?

Keep the rain, keep the sliding, having some limits every now and then is s good thing.

Did Link have the master sword in the trailer? If so you might have that from the beginning as a permanent weapon

Your avatar applies here. The rain's fine as a limit in theory, but having to leave the game while you wait for a random event to clear is never a good thing. In some areas the rain was used well - Zora's Domain, for example, where you weren't meant to be able to climb the rocks. For the most part it was just an utter pain in the backside.

It was lovely and atmospheric though.
