Apparently narrow victories have no legitimacy.

He went to my old school but apparently bunked off quite a lot. His father had his own business but it went bust and they ended up living in a council house in Brixton for a while. He ended up going to night school and building himself back up.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

Any Labour MPs prepared to back no-deal should be deselected.

Seems Theresa May, who was stubborn as hell on her Brexit red lines and refused any real cross party compromise, putting party over country and kicking the can down the road until she'd backed herself into a corner and quit to leave us in an even bigger mess, has given a speech telling everyone else to learn to compromise.

Theresa May's understanding of compromise is everyone else supporting the thing she has set out. I think she genuinely believes that she was at no fault and everyone who voted against her deal is to blame for not compromising and accepting it.

It's interesting how May's premiership is bookended by two speeches on compromise and promises to be virtuous that are completely divorced from the reality of her time in office.

Add in Windrush and the hostile environment and she can basically just strawberry float off the hypocritical banana split.

Good news, for once. A bigger margin would have been nice but then clearly there are more no deal morons in parliament than I realised.
