Kind of depressing that British people are now impressed by a government that has a basic level of competence.
Of course, I think the real reason there is not similar action taking place in the UK is because so many politicians are in denial about the actual consequences of leaving the EU or don't want to admit to people that there are any.
Oh, and what is this shite about time limiting the so called backstop arrangements? It's supposed to be what they do until they can come up with something better. If you time limit it then what are you going to do if it runs out? Have a backstop for the backstop? Asinine.
