“Sounds knowledgeable” is basically his thing. Get somebody to say the same words in a Brummie accent and it doesn’t sound so authoritative.

He's right. If I said anything Rees-Mogg was saying with my terrible brummie accent, no one would take it seriously whatsoever. Being a posh twat works in his favour.

Can you start a YouTube channel where you redo his speeches in said accent please?

Sinn Féin should seriously reconsider their position.

What a game changer that would be.

They should just pop in unannounced to gooseberry fool over something the DUP really wants. ;)

MPs have voted heavily in favour of delaying Brexit until June 30th if May's deal is rejected a 3rd time.

At this point though I can't see the EU agreeing even without Italy threatening to veto it. It's just asking for an extension to drag the current situation out, not because there's another (viable) plan.

It's actually if the deal is approved. Basically it's a recognition of the amount of time the government has wasted since originally pulling the vote in December.

Aye. 20th March apparently. Day before the EU summit.

It's hard to believe that she could gain more than a 150 supportive votes in one week, but everything is possible.

I physically couldn't let myself watch the voting tonight. Two nights in a row put me in such a strawberry floating state I've had to go all hermit today.

Why don't we just strawberry floating cancel this now before it's too late.

Just admit it's not possible and go back to normal.

She wants to secure a legacy as the Prime Minister who ended Freedom of Movement before she's forced out.

There’s a good chance she won’t be allowed to put her deal before Parliament again. Doing it would be against Parliamentary convention, but it’s up to the Speaker whether it’s allowed.

I could see it being allowed due to it being on the proviso that, if it's rejected this time, there's actually a pre-determined course of action to be taken so, technically, it's a vote for something different.
